Eagles head coach Andy Reid seemed optimistic that McNabb would make the start in his hometown on Sunday, while Westbrook will be a game-time decision.

from AP

Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb returned to practice Friday, but the Eagles could be without running back Brian Westbrook on Sunday at Chicago against the Bears.

McNabb was a full participant in that practice after sitting out all week because a chest bruise that he sustained during a 15-6 victory Sunday over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Adam Schefter just said on NFL Network that McNabb will play. But also that Shawn Andrews did not make the trip to Chicago.

(He did not say anything about Westbrook.)

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Donovan McNabb (chest) will start Sunday night.

McNabb never seemed in danger of missing this game and should be in all lineups against a Bears secondary that's struggled badly so far.

Philly injury updates.

Westbrook is likely out, as WASH is a bigger game and they'll keep him out for next week.

McNabb will start in his home town of CHI.

KCurtis getting better, could be back next week.

Reg Brown likely to play some but not a huge factor. Hard to say about him.

LJ Smith likely out, so if you need a TE consider sleeper Brent Celek.

HTH.

Celek has been impressive in the passing game when he's had the opportunity. However, the Eagles really havent been using the TE as a receiver much this year for whatever reason. Also, against this blitz happy Bears D, I would expect to see him more in pass protection.

McNabb is active and starting...

Eagles inactives: QB A.J. Feeley (3rd), RB Brian Westbrook, DE Bryan Smith, G Shawn Andrews, G Mike McGlynn, WR Kevin Curtis, TE L.J. Smith, DE Victor Abiamiri.

Analysis: QB Donovan McNabb is active and will start, as expected. RB Correll Buckhalter will start and see more carries with Westbrook inactive. Curtis and Smith are also out, so WRs Reggie Brown, Hank Baskett and DeSean Jackson should see plenty of targets.

Bears inactives: QB Caleb Hanie (3rd), DB Craig Steltz, G Dan Buenning, OT Chris Williams, DT Matt Toeaina, WR Earl Bennett, DT Tommie Harris.

Analysis: WR Brandon Lloyd is active and will start.
