Don't open any attachments from a friend sharing a Google Doc (1 Viewer)

If anyone wants to know how to protect yourself from this one, shoot me a pm and I'll send you a link to my Google doc that explains it.

Events like this are an opportunity to weed out your social circle.  Do you really want to be friends with people who are clueless enough to still click on unsolicited attachments?

Attachment or apparent google doc link? If I got one of those from someone on a project, it might be one of 3-4 that would be shared anyway.  Not sure how that is clicking on an "unsolicited attachment" at all (it would neither seem unsolicited, and it's not an attachment   )

If I cut everyone out of my social circle that fell for this (quoted from above from @Walking Boot):

So people know what's going on, someone coded a webpage that looks just like the sign-in page for Google Docs, and hosted it on Google Docs. So if you click the link, you get sent to a legitimate Google URL
I'd have very few people left in my circle. It's a simple mistake. It happens. No need to shrink the circle because someone got hacked. People get hacked all the time.

It's basic online security. If someone sends me a document or link with no context and no description, I don't open it.
