Can Gabriel become a strong number 3 fantasy wide receiver now that he is catching passes from Tom Brady? The only other receiver besides Branch is Chad Jackson right. Bilichek stated that they watched Gabriel throughout the entire preseason and they feel that he will fit their system very well. Any inside information or any thoughts?

He has potential, but I'd not count on him any higher than WR4 (in a 12-team league).

Don't count on anything though.

Personally, I grabbed him as a WR5 with good upside.

With the Branch saga, I really think Gabriel could be solid. I have always seen him as a talent in Oakland and I think he will have a solid opportunity in New England. Chad Jackson has had major injury issues and I saw an article where there is serious doubt as to if Chad Jackson will play the opener. Like most here, I think Watson is a big winner in this but I also think Gabriel is too. Some may disagree but I definitely like Gabriel as a sleeper pick this season.

If Branch doesn't return, I think Troy Brown will outscore any WR on the roster. I think he will catch a minimom of 200 more yards than Gabriel.

for what its worth, i just traded him in a 16 team ppr dynasty league for travis taylor and a 4th round rookie pick....

thoughts, both similar players and projections in my mind, i do expect gabriel to fall right into the mix at wr there, but dont think he will ever be overly productive wr, much like taylor........taylor has better pedigree and i get an additional pick
