Seems like almost every athlete from every sport goes to this guy.

Wonder what his memorabilia collection looks like?

Think he is private? Or has contracts with teams? With the NFL/Leagues? Insuarnce policy on his hands?

this might be wrong forum....sorry....but I was thinking in terms of NFL players mostly.....it seems like every NFL'r goes to this guy....

I worked w/ Andrews when he was @ Healthsouth. I sold for a company that he worked with so we were always trying new prototype products for ACL's and shoulder surgeries.

Andrews does have plenty of money, but he also shares the OR with about 6 fellows at a time. He works with the Redskins, Alabama, Auburn and others.

I have been to his house a few times, but haven't seen all of it.

Most of the memorabilia wasspread throughout his office and patient rooms. Tons of jerseys, pictures and gloves, bats, balls, etc...

He won't be working in the OR too much longer, but he will be leaving the practice in very capable hands. I am sure he will be a consultant til the day he dies, but his surgical days are numbered.

He's also building a new clinic near Pensacola (in Gulf Breeze, FL). State of the art facility that my wife (a PT) says is extremely impressive. She's treated several of his patients (no one real famous, one pitcher in the Oak A's minor league system). He's got one heck of a reputation.

Would love to see FBG interview him from a fantasy football injury perspective and put the results in the 2007 FBG Magazine. I think that would be unique.

(remember, I called it first)

been there done that, but not for a FF mag.

His younger "partner" lives down the street from me, I could have a talk with him, but he would probably think less of me if he knew it was for FF purposes.

My knowledge of orthopedics is pretty large, even though I haven't been around the OR in years.

I would be I could answer most any questions right now.

The man should enshrined in Canton and/or Cooperstown when he hangs them.

His contributions to Sports Medicine and the men that play these games has been immense.

Honestly, my .02 has Andrews as a better shoulder/elbow surgeon.

He is renowned for the Tommy John surgery along with Labral and Rotator Cuff repairs.

I am not sure what technique he is using in ACL repair these days, but will look into it.
