Draft Challenges: Offdee & others (1 Viewer)

There were 4 of us in on it. It was great! The draft flew by with all of the bluffing and trickery.

One other guy and myself ended up getting 10 correct, so we battled it out in "Sudden Death." It took a while for him to finally come out as the victor since we both went back and forth on Jimmy Williams and Winston Justice for the deciding pick. To tell you the truth, I can't remember who the deciding player was that won it for him after a few :banned: .

After he finally won, we all would place side bets on who would be the next selection throughout the rest of the 1st round. If we missed on that pick it would carry over to the next. There were a couple of big pots won doing that, as well.

All in all, it was a great time. Everyone enjoyed it and are looking forward to doing it again next year. We made a few minor adjustments (time limits, "trade card" rules, etc.) but pretty much left it the same. I'll guarantee we'll get more people involved next year after some of our punk-#### lame-o friends heard how much fun we were having.

If you didn't do it this year, make sure to keep it in mind for next year. It's a blast!

We had 8 guys....I ended up winning it pretty easily.

I ended up with 17 total points.....15 correct picks (out of 20) and 2 bonus pts. for predicting trades.

I nailed the first 7 picks in a row. Then I missed the Donte Whitner pick (which probably everyone else in the world missed). Got the next 6 picks in a row correct. Missed on both Tye Hill to Rams and Jason Allen to Cowboys. Got Greenway to Vikings and Cromartie to the Chargers correct, and missed on Carpenter to Cowboys and Hali to the Chargers.

2 bonus pts. came from predicting the Broncos trade up to #11 for Cutler (actually thought it was the Vikings that would trade up for him, but still got lucky) and also predicted the Ravens trade up one spot to #12 for Ngata.

2nd place had 11 pts. which is usually right around what wins it.

Don't want to toot my own horn, but I was pretty much in the zone on my picks and the 7 other guys were in disbelief. This was the first time I even placed first or second in the 5 years we've been doing it so felt pretty good.

I believe I walked away with $65 ($45 profit) and 2nd place ended up getting about $32 ($12 profit).....nothing huge, but worth the entertainment value.

As always, it was an excellent time.
