Being a member of the OBR (Orange & Brown Report)this trascipt went on last week and thought I'd post it for FBG's

http://cle.scout.com/2/1395781.html

Some very funny stuff on Manziel as he states:

1. On the Raiders drafting JFF - Sure draft Manziel & continue their sorry drop to the dregs of football earth-if ever a team needs electro shock therapy in their draft thought process it is them.

2. Johnny Manziel is the byproduct of Ryan Leaf breeding with Justin Bieber

3. Johnny Manziel, alias Bo Callahan (Draft Day)

4. He sucks-I need control not mayhem-OL needs to know where their QB is at all times

5. FOLKs, if we can, stay off Manziel-guy's not worth my typing

Aaron Donald is his guy as he states:

"Hell, Donald is my #1 player, period. Yeah, shoot me but wait 3 years & see what this kid does as an under-tackle"

Since I'm probably the biggest Dennard pimp and a Browns homer. He stated this about him:

1. Dennard is an Ike Taylor-in his prime clone without the hands of stone-best CB I've scouting in 10 years.

2. Only 3 CBS ever since 1968 held opponents to less than 1 yard per pass attempt-Jim Marsallis, Dennard & Deion.

Hopefully there is no problem accessing this: Enjoy

From the chat

I haven't been too big on Watkins either. Where would you rank him against all the other WRs this year?

Evans, Matthews, Watkins
wow he nailed that imo.....

Dennards going to bust though......to slow.

I remember him on tv a long while back. Can't remember what show he was a guest on but Chet Coppock was the host. Coppock was clueless but Thomas was good. His biggest miss if I recall was saying something like Daunte Culpepper was going to be the greatest QB of all-time.

Sounds like this guy is just trying to steal some headlines. Mission accomplished I guess.
It's possible. It's also possible that he didn't listen to the echo chamber and he's done his own independent scouting on the players. I would still rate Clowney and maybe Mack (it's close) higher as prospects than Donald but only because they play more valuable positions. Donald has the best tape out there this year. He's amazing.

You can't/shouldn't crucify him just because he's not a sheep. Maybe he's right. I think he is dead on in regard to Donald. That kid has a first step that is filthy and will likely cause havoc for some NFL teams for a long time to come.

One thing I learned a long time ago (and was clearly reminded of as recently as last year with TRICH) is when the consensus is OVERWHELMING and people are just spewing hype on a player, they are often wrong, especially when the player doesn't meet the physical "freak" eye ball test.

It is the difference between raving about Calvin and Adrian Peterson vs. Tavon Austin. With the former two, because of their physical presence, it is almost impossible to script a scenario where they fail but when you don't have the physical tool set of the elite in the NFL, you have to at least question it.

I don't have a problem with the calls. It's the language he uses that makes it seem like he wants headlines.

I'm sure there have been bigger misses. i mean culpepper did have a few all pro seasons..

wrecked knees ended his career, more or less, so I'd give him a mulligan here

Exactly. The Ryan Leaf/Beiber thing doesn't even make sense.

Be different. Great. Spare us your cheap 'irreverence'.
:goodposting: Contrarian thinking is valuable as long as there's some kind of useful thought process behind it. This just comes off as schtick. It's not echo chamber, but it's a newly-emerging character-type in the draft evaluation business: former scout who locates a consensus and shouts loudly in the opposite direction. You're not automatically smart because you say something different.
