THe Saints need LBs, but if Mangold drops, I can see the Saints picking him up to replace LeCharles Bentley.

Whoever it is, it's a linebacker. One of the top centers will be available in the 3rd if they really want one.

you got that right Andy, youre usually on the ball too.....but which one fits their system best...? considering the strength of their Defensive line a guy that can clean up in the middle might be best.....

My first pick was Ryans, based on talent alone.

The more likely pick, however (Ryans should be gone by this point), is D'Qwell Jackson, or even Abdul Hodge as he seems to be moving up the boards.

Before I vote, a question.

Is the talk of NO drafting Mario a matter of BPA, do they want to add a top pass rusher, or is it BS?

If it's not BS, Kiwanuka wouldn't be a bad pick here.

I'm totally guessing here, but I don't think the talk of taking Williams is a bluff.I talked this over with CC today and he swayed me. They'll move Jamaal Brown to LT and pick an RT in the 2nd round. Williams goes in the first provided they don't trade down.

Ok, we have them selecting Brick. So I'll vote Kiwanuka here, to keep the positions mirroring reality.

They traded their 3rd to Houston last year to jump up and grab Brown. Makes this pick HUGE for the Saints. Still agree with the prediction - LB. If Ryans is there (which I highly doubt) it is a no brainer. If not, Hodge is the guy, IMO.

Andy you know better than that, Chaos is a big Williams guy, I am too....but the Saints are going to Switch a tackle who was just learning to play last year, to the other side and pass on the best pass blocking tackle to come out in at least five years..... with A 10M QB with a surgically repaired Shoulder ? all the While they already have 2 all Pro Caliber DE's on the Roster ? surely you know better.... remember too Bentleys gone as well.

I agree that Mangold would be a luxury we can't afford here. There are several really good starting caliber centers in this draft. We need a LB and since Hoge wasn't on the list I went with D Qwell Jackson. Ryans wouldn't break my heart either.

I agree that the Saints need LBs, but they don't have a third round pick. THe centers capable of starting their rookie years will be gone by the time the Saints draft in the 4th.

If Mangold is available, I say the replace Bentley. Otherwise I think the need for a MLB is more pressing then OLB - making D'Quell Jackson the pick.

If they get either of the top rated centers I won't complain, even if they take Brick in the 1st. The reason I said that they should wait on center is b/c I fully expect to have some other teams third round pick as part of a trade package. :stirspot:
