The #1 pick in our league should be Caleb Williams, but the dude is going with Harrison Jr.
It's a dumb move for him but oh well. So Williams falling to #2
I'm looking at trade options for #2 pick overall.

The #2 overall pick need a QB and stated that he ranks Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams equally, coin flip. So he doesn't care if Caleb falls or not.
I think there's a much bigger gap. He has all 3 Rookie picks Rounds 1-3 from the #2 spot.

The #8 Pick for Penix JR. could make sense for him. Especially if he owns Cousins.
But I don't want to give up TUA & #8 for Caleb.
#8 and Other player could help. Or #7. I don't care as long as I get brooks.
BUT... if someone goes QB, QB QB instead it means Nabers, or Bowers would drop and I would take them over Brooks.




I offered him Tua T and more....floated it out there. + 3rd rounder.
He's not a fan of Watson, I'm not selling JLove I just acquired him for JWaddle and DGoedert.
My team is pretty competitive. I tanked the 3rd place game to get the better draft spot but have been in the title game 4 previous seasons.

6. Bowers or Nabers. 50% Top 5 players. 20% QB. Also this guy likes PIT and PIT players. Doesn't care. Wildcard.
7. My pick. Jonathan brooks RB1. 90% (I won't be able to get him in RD2 but I have WRs ranked higher than him.
8. My Pick: Penix Jr. Future QB. barring trade up. (My QB2 in this draft. If I don't take penix #8 he's gone by #9. Per absentee instruction).
9. Trey Benson RB2 100% or Penix if he drops due to trades.
10. QB (McCarthy, Maye or Nix). 70% Certain. 30% Ladd McConkey or WR4-5 type.

I don't know if the #2 guy wants Chris Godwin. I think Godwin has 3+years left. He doesn't start on my roster.
I can cut some of my RB depth and grab players.

QB ownership is an arms race. There's no limit on how long you keep a player.
One owner owns Mahomes, LJax, Goff,
Another Owner owns JAllen, CStroud, Stafford,
Another owner has ARodgers, Purdy, KMurray, could draft Jayden Daniels.
Hurts Owner, Owns Carr, no 1st round pick.
Dak, Mayfield Fields owner looking for QB.
By acquiring LOVE I got a younger upcoming QB before others could. And I'm usually in top 2 top 4 so always draft late.
If I acquire Caleb Williams. I think he'll be solid enough I can trade other QB depth. JLove, Caleb Williams and Tua as QB3 would be great.
Not sure what it takes but the #2 owner will be here soon making ribs and i can wear him down for a few hours

Sounds like the other guy has a price. It may not be what you are willing to give up. Seems like it's up to him on the asking price.

If the question is "Do I trade up for Caleb Williams?" I say maybe, it depends on how bad you want him. But also no. Maybe Williams is the next Mahomes and he's someone that one absolutley needs to get but my take, and maybe it's a bad take here but he's not worth mortgaging your future. Unless he'd do like #7 or #8 + another pick in the 20's and possibly chubb, goodwin and olave then I don't think you can make a deal with him. One option might be to trade up to #3 and maybe he'd swap picks with you.

but me, I'd be content with just trotting out Tua and Love and hope they do well and no one gets hurt and just take Phenix. Of the guys you listed that you'd take @ 17 all went way earlier in my drafts so...they might not be there, would you take another rookie QB if none of them are there?

If I am owner 2, I trade only because I love me some McCarthy instead. In his shoes I keep 2 and surprise you all with Nabers or try to move to 4. Whois taking Odzune instead. Than 12 draft Maye for future. . But best case for him with team is taking Williams unless I get Tua-8 for 2-22 as team not bad. Just needs that 2nd QB. Overall team is not awful with 4 solid WR, good RB combo, okay TE. D means nothing here. Darnold would not cost much to acquire to get QB combo. Having Cousins-Penix does not improve team now. Just ensures future. Still leaves you Geno. Yuck. I would love to add Nabers, McCarthy, Darnold in his shoes and you don’t help that. Of course he can add Williams and WR at 12 as any of those coleman, Worthy, Thomas, McVonkey are not bad. No need for Maye if he drafts Williams. Who is taking Sanders at 11. Makes my 12 even more valuable.

Other trade idea. Barkley and #2 for 7-8-Tua. Brooks is too iffy to rely on and you need RB2. Or give London over #7. But then Iwould be blowing Team up without Barkley. No RB in this draft coming close to him.
