Draft pick help... (1 Viewer)

Hello all, I have a dynasty draft tomorrow with the #7 & #19 picks. I want a useful RB& WR. The tope five picks are going to be the top five RB’s (CEH, Taylor, Swift, Akers, Dobbins). Burrow is going #6. I’m left with either going WR or reaching big for a next tier RB @ #7, like Moss. It should be an easy pick for me, but with where Jeudy and Lamb ended up, there’s circumstance ceiling’s that make me not want them. That means a reach for Reagor or another tier 2 WR, or a tier 2 RB, which does not satisfy me with a #7 overall. With WR so rich, I want an RB with the #7, and then get my WR with #19, but I think that means it would have to be Moss, who’s a mid 2nd. In my league he’ll probably go by the end of the first or early second round, but surely gone by #19. Hopefully I can get some sound advice from some Fantasy experts out here as to what you’d do with the #7 in a .5 PPR dynasty. Oh, and my draft is today! (Sunday), so I’ll be checking back to see what you have to say… Thanks!

Don't worry about the positions.  Put in your efforts to create a combined draft board and then take the guy at the top of the board when it is your pick regardless of position.

The entire purpose of the rookie draft is to get starters for your fantasy team.  Taking a lesser player because you want position X diminishes your likelihood of getting a starter.  Its hard enough to find quality players so don't hinder yourself by taking a lesser talent because you want a certain position.

Yeah, I'm resigned to taking a WR, and then it comes down to the difficult decision of Jeudy or Lamb. Neither of their landing spots lends to great immediate productivity or even a path to a #1 receiver status, but I still figure they're a better pick than any of the other WR's @ 1.07. Any thoughts on why Jeudy or Lamb, or any other options @ #7?

I take Lamb.  I think he does have a path to the WR1 for Dallas.  He also has the better QB for early production.  Its fairly easy for me based on the players you have said will be gone.

I'm going to go WR, but why is Lamb always going before Jeudy? Is it Dack and the Dallas O that put's him first? I see the Dallas offense much better off than Denver, and Dack is becoming a pretty reliable passer, but last years 4,900 yds was an outlier. I predict a more productive season for Dallas, which I think means a regression in passing yardage. If they happen to extend Gallup or even just pick up his fifth year, that makes it pretty unlikely Lamb can have huge numbers within the next three years, let alone be a true WR1. I also don't have any belief in Lock (yet), yet Sutton has made me a believer, along with Fant. My take is that route running and separation has an edge over dynamics. Lamb is more dynamic and beastly, but Jeudy will always have that separation along with the same great hands and good speed as Lamb. It seems to me that Jeudy would be the safer bet long term, but it seems Lamb is goin first in most drafts. Why do you all think that is?
