Draft Pick Trading In Start Up Dynasty Drafts? (1 Viewer)

I'm curious to get the Shark Pool's opinion on draft pick trading in initial dynasty drafts.

I'm starting 2 new Dynasty leagues this yr and my personal opinion is I shouldn't allow it because it has the potential to blow up and ruin a team before the league has even drafted but the other owners would like to do it.

I joined another league this yr and already somebody gave up 1.9 & 2.4 for 1.2 and I'm pretty sure that owner will be kicking himself when Peterson goes #1 overall.

What do you guys think?

we always have paid in full a year in advance. One deal isn't going to kill a team IMO

Draft pick dealing is half the fun in leagues. Wouldn't join a league without it. We also have in our rules you must deal 2-for-2, 3-for-3 etc...

The 1.9 and 2.4 is cheap even it's LT, IMO.

I think leagues should let teams trade how they wish, so long as there doesn't appear to be collusion going on. And the test I think that needs to be applied is not "do you agree it is a good deal", but "could a reasonable person believe it is a good deal".Could a reasonable person think 1.9+2.4 is worth 1.2? Given how many league setups make the top 1-3 RBs so valuable, yes, I think it is entirely reasonable. You've already got at least one poster in here indicating he isn't even sure it's favoring the side you think is favored. It shouldn't matter whether you or I agree it is a good idea or not, as long as the owners truly believe it is a good idea, let them run their team the way they think they should.
