Draft Strategy-2 QB League (1 Viewer)

8 team non PPR league, bonus points for yardage and length of TD. Must start: 2QB / 3RB / 3WR / 1 TE / 1 Flex (No QB) / 2K / 1 Team D

Have the 4th pick. I almost always take a RB in first couple rounds, but wondered if I'm making a mistake as we have to start 2 QBs. Think Charles or Rice, and Rodgers will be available. Anybody have a recommended strategy?

2-QB strategy is generally broad enough to stay in the SP. 8 teams makes it easier on you. I have a 12 team 2-QB league and people are scrambling. I'd want my 2 starting QB's by the end of round 5, with your lineup, I'd hope to have 2QBs, 2RBs and a WR. Pick up a stud TE in round 6 perhaps.

In non PPR, you want to go with a QB at the 4th pick. Only exception I would make is AP. I have the 3rd pick in both my 2QB leagues. In order I would go with AP, Rodgers, Brees. I know I'll get one of them. Now another strategy which could work in your league since you only have 8 teams is to load up on RB's and WR's in the first 5-6 rounds and see what QBs are there at 7 or 8. Its unconventional in most 2QB leagues but with only 8 teams, I feel that decent QBs in the Eli Manning, Jay Cutler range might still be there. You can live with that if you have studs at RB and WR. Ultimately, you have to feel out what your league mates are doing. If you feel they are gobbling up all the QBs, you'll need to act quicker. If they are taking one good one and then moving on to RB and WR, you have time to wait.

Put your scoring system and lineup requirements into the VBD spreadsheet and see how the values are.In an 8 team league, I don't think that you have to take a QB that early. I go BPA for the first 5 rounds. You have the 4th, 13th, 20th, 29th, and 36th picks in the draft. Non PPR league with an option to start 4 RBs.....I want backs and I want them early. I like the top 15 or so RBs and there's a dropoff, there are 7 stud QBs and there are 10 stud WRs before a dropoff. My strategy is to get 3 of the top 15 RBs, 1 of the top 10 WRs (in this league, one should be available with the 29th pick) and then take your first QB at round 5, hopefully it will be Romo, but it it's Roethlisberger or Schaub, you would be happy. Now if the QB scoring is very friendly, I still take a RB in round 1 and take a stud QB in round 2, Rivers should be available with the 13th pick.

I have a 12 teamer tomorrow that starts: 2QB / 2RB / 3WR / 1 TE / 1 Flex (No QB) / 1K / 1 Team D. Scoring is 6 points for passing, rushing or receiving TD's plus 1 point PPR. 1 point per 20 yards passing and 1 point per 10 yards rush or receive.

I am picking 10th and I know 3 or 4 Qb's will be off the board before I pick. I am torn whether to grab the value that fell or take 2 QB's with my first picks and really cause a run on QB's. I guess it all depends on how the first picks shake out, but if they stick with RB's and WR's I will take 2 elite QB's with my first 2 picks.

I've always taken RB's first; maybe a QB in 3rd round. Seems like the right strategy when you only start total of 16 QBs.

I've been in a 2qb league for roughly 10 years now. Usually anywhere from 7-9 QBs go in the first. From talking with the owners I expect this year to go- Rodgers, Vick, Brady, Rivers, Brees for the top 5 picks.

If I can get one of the top QBs in that league with my first rounder I am happy. We have 12 teams, in an 8 teamer like yours I wouldn't hesitate to take a stud RB in the first. You'll still have plenty of good QBs to grab
