Draft Strategy conundrum of the OK kind..... (1 Viewer)

16 team Keeper League, nonPPR.  I'm keeping no players from last year; I traded Godwin for a 1st round pick late last season.

I'm drafting 9th and my second first round pick is 14th in a snake draft.

With 3 relatively early picks, I'm planning on taking a Tier 1 or high Tier 2 RB (Zeke if he's there, but in mocks I'm hitting the tier 2 RB's).

With my second 1st round pick (14th) I'm leaning towards a WR.

My pick for the 2nd round is my conundrum.....if I can snag Mahomes or Prescott or Jackson or Watson for QB should I take a QB that early, or just go back to the RB board?

Any feedback on strategy is appreciated.....

Put in the time to create a combined draft board and use that for your picks.  Don't get caught up on positions.  You will lose value doing this when you force a position.  Take the player at the top of your board when it's your pick...…..regardless of position.

The QB question is the same.  Rank them within the other positions.  If there are no players at other positions ahead of them in your mind then go ahead and pull the trigger.  For me, in a 1 QB league I will pass on the second round QB's and wait quite a bit since the position is really deep.

Agree with Gally in that you should take BPA with your early picks.....if it's close, lean towards the RB over the WR.  In a 16 teamer RBs will be really scarce.

Wait on QB but you can't wait that long.  QBs go quicker in a 16 teamer as opposed to a 12 teamer.  Look for your starting QB about the 5th round.  If you can wait until Round 6, the better.
