Draft Strategy for the 5th spot in a PPR League (1 Viewer)

The draft will go LT, SJ, LJ, Gore.

Choosing between Bush or Westbrook. Projections say Bush by a couple, but I'm worried about RBBC. Also, worried about Westbrook's health issues. Any ideas or suggestions.

Take the best available player.
You never have anything useful to add, do you? (Don't answer. It's called a rhetorical question.)BTW, how's that Mike Vick fetish of yours working out these days?ETA: Take FWP at 5.

I'm in the same boat with the 5th pick in a PPR league. LT & SJ are obviously gone and I'd be somewhat surprised if LJ didn't go in top 4 (though, I doubt I'd take him at 5). I'm seriously looking at Addai, FWP, Westbrook and Gore for my pick at 5. I'd be happy with any one of those backs, though Gore worries me somewhat with his injury history. Honestly, outside of #1, 5th or 6th pick is my favorite because I know I'll get one of those 4 RB's and I don't feel I'll miss out on that much coming down in the 2nd round. I'm tending to lean towards a WR with my 2nd rd pick and I should be able to get a top 5 WR at that. After that it gets kindof sketchy since I'm not sure what RB's will be left at that point. My instincts tell me to take another top WR with my 3rd, however, there are a couple of RB's which I may feel the need to not let them slide by, if you know what I mean. My draft is this Saturday and there ADP could significantly increase, so who knows. I tentatively plan on going RB, WR, RB or WR, RB or WR thru the first 4 rounds.

This Sat I have #5 in a 10 team PPR. Assuming LT, SJ, LJ & FG go 1-4, I am leaning towards Westbrook, but his weekly status has caused me ulcers in the past - I just like the guy. Willy is getting more and more love so he's crept onto my radar. Bush isn't a bad option here either although I don't see myself going that direction. Addai doesn't do much for me, but there's an arguement for him at 5, too. I think any of those could be easily defended.

Personally, I think Westbrook has the most upside of this group, and probably the biggst (injury) risk to go with it.

FWIW, I currently plan to go RB, RB, WR, WR, RB, WR (we start 2 RB, 2 WR, and 2 flex). If Gates is there in 3 I may grab him, but otherwise I'll hold off and take the best available in the middle rounds.

My decision is btwn Westbrook & Bush. Not sold on Addai because that team just has too many weapons and not a fan of FWP. I've been leading towards Westbrook for the past week, and now its 24 hours before my draft and I'm thinking of going with Bush.

I'd have to ay Addai or Bush, depending on how much you think Reggie will step up his game this year. McAllister does have a big presence there.

If those are your options, I think it's Bush easily. Westbrook has never played a full season. Why would you want that over a healthy young player whose specialty is cathing the ball? I like Westbrook (as a player and a fantasy option), but there's no way of knowing which three games he's going to miss.

When all else fails, go with your gut.

Right now, gut is saying Bush because the Saints will def. find a way to get him the ball. I am worried about Westbrook's health. I do feel though that this is a matter of a couple of points between them. Would you's pick someone else? Reasoning?

Not an accurate statement - he has played one full season. In my league, Westbrook scored over 60 more points than Bush, even though he didn't play in two weeks (4 and 17). I think I'd rather have those points than having that one extra week (chamionship is in wk 16) of scoring with Bush.

Just drafted from the 5 hole, got very lucky... must be playing with guppies... but I landed Gore in the first round, the guy right before me took Addai... went LT, SJ, LJ, Addai. In the second round is where I struck gold with Reggie Bush falling to me in the second. Their was a huge run at WR in the first three rounds...but still, bush in the 2nd was crazy...
