10 team league with .5 ppr scoring (4 pt pass tds, 6 for everything else, 1 per 25 passing and 1 per 10 rush/rcv, bonus for 300/400 yd pass games and 200 yd rush or rcv, bonus 2 points for tds over 40). 15 round draft and I kept Hilton in the 4th and Howard in the 15th (FA pickup last year). I pick first in round 1 due to a trade then 5th in odd and 6th in even rounds. I am picking AB at 1.1 then need to figure out the best plan over the next two rounds due to my 4th being gone. Best available are the following:
QB - Rodgers, Wilson, Brees etc (Brady, Ryan, Winston, Mariota were kept)
RB - Gurley, Miller, Fournette, Lynch, Mccafrey, Hyde, Cook, Hunt and everyone after
WR - AB, Julio, Evans, Green, Thomas, Cooks, Dez, Cooper, Baldwin and everyone after
TE - Gronk
After my 1.1, there are only 7 picks before my second rounder due to keepers. After my 2.6 pick, there are only 8 picks until my 3.5 but then I sit idle 20 picks. So I have two strategies whereby I take either Rodgers (if he falls) or a WR from that group in the 2nd. Rodgers is interesting because pairing him with AB is exciting. Another WR is my other angle to combat the possible slow start from Hilton and be set and forget at WR. Gronk is also intriguing but I dont like the way my teams pan out taking him that early so I tend to want to shy away from that. My other plan is go RB-RB and then best available the rest of the way. Which strategy do you prefer? Thanks in advance and leave yours so I can respond.
