Draftguys COMPLETE Positional Rankings (1 Viewer)

Every position except FB, P, K

but in case you're interested, I think Louis Sakoda (Utah) and David Buehler (USC) will get drafted from the kickers, Thomas Morstead (SMU) and Kevin Huber (Cincinnati) from the punters, and Frank Summers (UNLV), Tony Fiametta (Syracuse) and Quinn Johnson (LSU) from the FBs...

4. Mitch King, Iowa 6’2” 280 - King has the non-stop motor and mean streak to play in a lot of spots on the defensive line - he’s already used to being undersized for the role he has to play.
If the Colts don't go DT in round 1 - I'd love to see them get King in the mid-rounds at UT, and a decent NT prospect in the draft.

Michael Crabtree - Texas Tech, 6’3” 214 lbs.
Why do people keep listing players by their phantom heights? Is it somehow necessary to perpetuate these myths? Is it a lack of commitment to professionalism? Or perhaps a need to make one feel better about their ranking? I doubt its either of these, but any offering of an explanation would be appreciated.

Type-O down?
Typo? Mr. Bloom knows these players backwards and forwards. I guarantee that he knows Crabtree came up significantly shorter than his reported height when measured at the combine. I'm not saying that Crabtree is to blame for this. It very well may have been spin from media relations at Texas Tech, but the fact is that he is not 6'3", Mr. Bloom knows it, but didn't fix this mistake in his reporting of Crabtree's measurables. He was measured and weighed at the combine. LINK

I'll be curious to see what NFL Network and ESPN do during their draft coverage when reporting Crabtree's measurables. Will they too purposefully ignore the facts? If so, why?

Crabtree measured 6 1' 3/8". I used Draftscout's heights and weights, and they rounded up. I think Lammey had his at 6'3", but he has changed it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

 You are really, really fired up about this.

Thanks for the correction, but I have a follow up question. Why do you think these things get perpetuated? I don't want to just point the finger at you. I think it happens repeatedly with lots the major media outlets.Fox / Scout.com list him at 6-2

Yahoo / Rivals list him at 6-3

NFL DraftDog.com lists him at 6-3

FFToolbox.com lists him at 6-3

CBS Sports lists him at 6-2.

To their credit, ESPN and The Sporting News listed him at his properly measured height.

I guess... why? Is it just an unimportant detail? And if its really insignificant, why is it reported on every player repeatedly? It just seems to me that if its worth mentioning every time in every profile, that its worth getting correct.

Fired up? Do you mean like yelling and screaming emotionally out of control? Would that make it easier for you to dismiss my question?I heard Dan Patrick discussing his curiosity on this same topic this morning. Was he "really really fired up" too?I understand why players and agents have a reason to perpetuate these misrepresentations of their physical tools, but I don't understand why media outlets feel the need to perpetuate the lies when they are given indisputable facts to work with.EDIT: If this is the wrong place to discuss this I apologize and will just let it go. I don't mean to trash this thread with a side discussion.
