Drafting #11 (1 Viewer)

Didnt see a thread for drafting in a 16 team league at the 11 spot, so made one.

My league is dynasty, PPR, start 3WR, 2RB, 1QB, 1TE. It's IDP also, but not gonna worry about that here.

So, Im confused about this draft. 11 in a 16 snake is rough. Im hopeing Brown, SJax, or Caddy, fall to me here but if they dont Im a bit lost. So reall what you're looking at in the draft is

Round 1. 11

Round 2. 22

Round 3. 43

Round 4. 54

Since its dynasty Im considering this.

I was thinking about taking Fitzgerald and hopeing Bush falls to me in the 2nd round at 22 but I have a feeling he wont. And obviously Fitz wont. The other player I was targetting in this area is McGahee. He could put up better numbers than last year, and he's a first round talent in those reguards. If I could end up having any of these players in the first two rounds I think I'd be happy. But obviously talent will win out if someone falls.

What Im considering mostly however is taking

Bush at 1

McGahee at 2

Hopeing Reggie Wayne or Chambers are available at 3

and hopeing Plex or someone else on his tier is there at 4. If no wide Rc's are avail at 4, or ones i dont like, I'll probably take Eli Manning all though it might be a round to early.... or late depending on who im drafting with. Probably half of them will know what they are doing and the other have will go by yahoo ranks, sports magz or names.

I'm at #12 in a 16-team league - a redraft, but it sounds like our dilemma is the same. I'm also hoping that either Ronnie Brown, S-Jax or Cadillac fall to me, but if not I see no way around going with the #1 WR (I might argue Steve Smith, but Larry Fitz is right up there). Keep in mind that especially since your league is a dynasty someone might make the silly move of taking Reggie Bush in the top 10, and then one of the guys you want almost definitely fall to you.

Good luck.

Mr. D

I dont think any of those guys fall that far. They did not in mine (redraft), and I did this (so far - start 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 TE):

1.11 11 Beaumont's Minority Whip Jordan, Lamont OAK RB

2.06 22 Beaumont's Minority Whip Parker, Willie PIT RB

3.11 43 Beaumont's Minority Whip Ward, Hines PIT WR

4.06 54 Beaumont's Minority Whip Shockey, Jeremy NYG TE

5.11 75 Beaumont's Minority Whip Galloway, Joey TBB WR

6.06 86 Beaumont's Minority Whip Taylor, Fred JAC RB

7.11 107 Beaumont's Minority Whip Glenn, Terry DAL WR

8.06 118 Beaumont's Minority Whip Rivers, Philip SDC QB

9.11 139 Beaumont's Minority Whip Brees, Drew NOS QB

10.06 150 Beaumont's Minority Whip Bryant, Antonio SFO WR

11.11 171 Beaumont's Minority Whip Turner, Michael SDC RB

12.06 182 Beaumont's Minority Whip Cowboys, Dallas DAL Def

If you dont go Jordan, your other real option is a player like McGahee ...

Are you seriously hoping that Bush falls to pick 22 in a PPR dynasty league?

:lmao:

If he's there at your pick in the FIRST round you better take him.

Exactly. Nancy Pelosi will own those Repubs just like last year ...

McGahee, Bush, & Fitz should be gone by your 2nd round pick (#22). If Bush is there at 11 - you take him. These would be my projected first 10 in a PPR dynasty league.

-LT

-LJ

-Alexander

-R.Brown

-Cadillac

-Bush

-S Jax

-Rudi

-S.Smith

-Portis

Fitz is the best pick at 11 but you take a chance at missing out on a young solid back if they all get snapped up between pick 11 & 22. I would lean more towards taking McGahee & grabbing a top 5 WR in the 2nd round. You could take Fitz & select a RB like K.Jones in the 2nd.

These are the players that should go between picks 11-20: Fitz, C.Johnson, Boldin, McGahee, L.Jordan, P.Manning, Gates, Barber, Edge, Holt, Westbrook, R.Moss, K.Jones.
