Drafting Question (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

I've noticed that in many scoring formats, QB's get 4 points per TD pass. In our league, they get 6 points, plus bonuses for long TD passes. My question is do those 2 points per TD pass make enough of a difference to adjust where you target QB's in a draft? In a league like mine, are QB's more valuable than in leagues where they get 4 points for each TD pass? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Pertinent details of scoring system are:

1 pt for every 10 yds rushing for all players (bonuses for long plays)

1 pt for every 10 yds receiving for all players (bonuses for long plays)

1 pt for every 25 yds passing (bonuses for long plays)

6 pts per rushing, receiving, and passing TD

Thanks

For me, it would make a difference in what kind of quarterback that I target. I always like the playmakers (Vick, Culpepper, Vince Young) because they give you rushing TDs that are worth more than passing TDs. I think this type of format makes them less valuable than in the other format.

I wouldn't target QBs any differently in this format because they all throw in the 18-24 range from year to year, and they are all around the same area.
