First Ladanian Tomlinson and now Reggie Bush + Deuce McAllister in the backfield

Dan Marino may shoot Drew if he ever meets him in person any time

:excited:

No way the Saints pass on Reggie. Immediate increase in excitement and fanbase support for a team that badly needs it. No brainer here.....If anything, they will trade Deuce before they give up the pick to get Reggie. Also, this is the same team that did get Deuce when they already had Ricky W. The regime has changed but the owner has not and the coach is an offensive minded coach.

There was no way the Texans were passing up on Bush....The Texans coach is offensive minded as well

It would be ridiculous for them to take Bush. They already have Deuce and Michael Bennett at RB. Why take a 3rd down back/KR/PR when they also have Michael Lewis returning kicks? They need to trade down!!!!!!! I'd take Javon Walker, 5th overall pick, and a 2nd rounder for the 2 and Donte Stallworth. Then take AJ Hawk at 5, Winston/Mangold with their 2nd round picks. Javon Walker, AJ Hawk, Eric Winston, and Mangold make the Saints MUCH better than just Reggie Bush.

This is also the team that would not like to pay Bush that much and would like to move down and pay less money for a player they need more. Trade Deuce before they draft Reggie.....LOL.

Just the ground game I want to rely on - a guy coming off a torn ACL who is turning 28 and a bum. No thanks, I'll take Bush.

Deuce + Bush is very appealing! Duece is much bigger, but both can catch out of the backfield or line up on the outside. NO may deal this pick, but I think it will be a colossal mistake. Add Mangold at the top of the second round, or one of the OTs, and this team could run the ball an awful lot. Drew Brees must be pissing himself.

Are all these same people that are saying that there is no way that NO doesn't take Bush the same that there is no way that Houst. drafts Mario over Bush? Can everybody stop swinging from Bush's jock for 2 seconds? IMO Bush is less of a need in NO as he was in Houston.

Not to mention they all ready have $50 million wrapped up in Duece. It just doesnt make sense from a cap perspective in my opinion.

Drew Brees said the exact thing I said.....see his quote from cnnsi

=============================

And what does he think of the pick of Bush? "It's awesome,'' he said from his home in San Diego. "How blessed am I? I played with LaDainian Tomlinson for five years, and now I'm playing with Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush. I felt LaDainian kind of changed the position with how versatile and dominant he was at running back. Now I think Reggie could make the position even more dynamic. There is no way I won't be ready for the season. Take that back. Maybe there's one half of a half of a percentage point, because I want to keep myself motivated.''

A cursory review of his contract, shows that they don't have anywhere near $50M wrapped up in him and he is quite cutable in the 2007 off-season. They could cut him THIS year if they wanted to, but I doubt they do.http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...opic=238499&hl=
