Driver Likely To Be Questionable For Week 5 (1 Viewer)

From RotoWorld:

Donald Driver will likely be listed as questionable for Week 5 with an injured rib and hip.

Perhaps this partly explains Driver's struggles with drops. If Driver plays, he has a solid matchup against St. Louis.

crap

And to all the Jennings owners getting super excited, he might get double covered without driver.........................

Just my speculation but given how Driver played after being hurt, caught 2 passes and was throwing his helmet all over the sidelines I'd be very surprised if he didn't play unless he's suffered a major setback of some kind. Again, this is just my speculation. If he is out, it would open the door for Koren Robinson to get a chance to show something.

It's only Tuesday and he is listed as questionable, not doubtful.

I wouldn't worry. There must be 100 guys listed as questionable right now

He will play and be fine.

He came back in the game after taking big hits. If it was serious he would not have returned.

They are just being cautious and I wouldn't read into this unless he doesn't practice all week.

Thursday update from RotoWorld:

Donald Driver (questionable, hip) returned to practice Thursday.

Despite his spate of drops this season, we're calling Driver a must-start in most leagues. It looks like he'll play.

Update from JS Online today...

Other injury updatesDonald Driver returned for a full practice and said he would play Sunday. Will Blackmon (out), Robert Ferguson (doubtful) and Donald Lee (questionable) also missed a second consecutive practice.

Driver news is good to hear.

Didn't Robinson just get sentenced to 90 days in jail for his DUI?

Being an owner of both Driver and Jennings, I'm hoping DD plays... so I can start Jennings this week.

Friday - Donald Driver IS NOT practicing today per radio report (no link)

:goodposting:
Jennings MIGHT see a #1 CB for a change, but I doubt he starts getting doubled. He's good but still somewhat unproven and with Koren as the fill-in for Driver I doubt any defensive coordinator is going to double him.
I agree they will not double cover anyone, it will be up to Favre to get rid of the ball on time.

CBS Sportsline has Driver missing practice. Anyone know why? Ribs or just resting?

Driver doesn't practice Friday

Donald Driver, WR GB

News: Packers WR Donald Driver (ribs) did not practice on Friday and remains questionable for Week 5 vs. St. Louis. Typically when a player practices on Friday, it's a good sign he will play on Sunday; conversely, when a player doesn't work on Friday, he sits (see Ahman Green from Week 4).

This doesn't sound good. From RotoWorld:

Receiver Donald Driver (questionable, hip) missed practice Friday while undergoing diagnostic tests.

"It’s uncomfortable, so we’re just being proactive and sent him for some further tests," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. The newest revelation makes Driver a much shakier start, so make sure to check his status before kickoff. The value of receiver Greg Jennings would get a major boost if Driver cannot play.

Update from ESPN's John Clayton:

Wide receiver Donald Driver had to undergo tests Friday because he was feeling pain around the rib area he hurt on Monday night. He didn't practice Friday and is very questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.

YikesBTW: i haven't seen a thread about Favre and his status... has he practiced? Is he feeling any effects from the 'possible slight concussion'? His decision making isn't the best already

Oct 6 Rob Demovsky, of PackersNews.com, reports Green Bay Packers WR Koren Robinson will be elevated to the third wide receiver role for Week 5 since WR Robert Ferguson (foot) nursing a foot injury. "This is a real big opportunity for me," Robinson said earlier this week. "I'm looking to do something spectacular."

I just picked him up off waivers.

Favre will play. Ahman Green practiced Friday and McCarthy expects him to play but he also expected Green to play Monday night as well. No Saturday update yet that I'm aware of involving Driver. If Driver doesn't play the Packers will have only 3 healthy WRs available - Jennings, Robinson and Ruvell Martin.

thanks Packersfan... hopefully we get a Saturday update on Driver

As for Favre... i know he'll play, the thought he wouldn't hasn't even crossed my mind. What i'm wondering is; Will his play be affected by his 'injuries'... we know his value took a hit w/ the thumb and hand injuries he took... hows this shoulder gonna effect him? And how's the head?...... i guess we'll just have to wait and see

Any news on Driver is of course appreciated. I'm in a league where if you make a waiver for a player, you have to start that player that week. I'm a Driver owner wondering if I should make the move for KRob. I have to make a decision by midnight.

Receiver Donald Driver (questionable, ribs and hip) missed practice Friday while undergoing diagnostic tests.

"It’s uncomfortable, so we’re just being proactive and sent him for some further tests," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. He was later asked whether Driver had any possible internal bleeding, and McCarthy responded by stating, "That's why we had him tested." Make sure to check his status before kickoff. :o

I just picked up Koren Robinson and may start him over Greg Lewis, especially if Driver is out. :bag:

Sorry for what will sound less than compassionate but if he does have internal bleeding does anyone have any idea how much time he would miss?
