Is Jerick McKinnon Worth a roster spot in dynasty? 12 team IDP league.

Or is it better to go waiver wire?

B. Miller

N. Agohlor

B. Hill

M .Jones

All available.

I probably take almost all of those guys over McKinnon. The. Vikings showed were McKinnon is at when they brought in Murray then drafted Cook.

*** Is B. Hill, Brian Hill the Falcons 5th round RB? If so, I'd take one of the WRs over either of those backs.

I'd disagree 100%, McKinnon is BY FAR the best option out of any of those guys. McKinnon has actually been somewhat useful in the NFL, he is an excellent athlete, and is in the final year of his contract, where he is likely to go to a better situation. I also think its possible, if not likely, that he is the #2 in Minnesota this year, as the Vikings will figure out quickly that Murray is just a more expensive Asiata.

I'm not sure how there can be an argument for anyone else even, unless the M. Jones is Marvin Jones(I'm assuming its Matt, who looks ok as a runner, but can't stop fumbling, and is rubbing a lot of people the wrong way of the field.)

Hill would be my 2nd choice, but there is a pretty sizable dropoff from McKinnon to Hill and another from Hill to the other guys.

How on earth is Nelson Agholor going to have value, he's closer to be out of the NFL than he is to being a useful fantasy player. Braxton Miller is the #4 option at best on a run heavy team, learning an almost entirely new position.

McKinnon is a 25 year old RB who had his shot last year and this year he won't see much of the field this year because they brought two other RBs (which should tell you how his team views him). Barring injury, this year is a write off and will likely be available on the WW all year. You're talking about a 3rd string (maybe 4th behind Asiata) running back. Maybe either Murray or Cook busts and then he's a back up. You're hoping for him to be the #2 at best but even if he is, it's going to be a committee. The Vikings have made that very clear. Why waste a roster spot on a RB who will be on your bench for a full year and 26 years old before he potentially sees a significant workload on another team next year. And even then who knows.

I thought M. Jones was Marvin. If it's Matt then I agree that there's no reason to go after him.

Hill I have no idea why you like him. He's a JAG with a legitimate stud and a high end back up in front of him. I don't see how at any point this year he would be a starter on a fantasy team. He's maybe going to get some short yardage work but will mostly be a special teams guy.

Agholor is still young for a WR at 24. Being WR4 or 5 on a team likely sees more field time than a RB3 or 4. Plus, receivers are more likely to develop later in their career than RBs.

Miller has the most potential since he is making the position switch (you knock him for this but McKinnon also made a position switch into the NFL). Miller is working with Wes Welker to be a slot receiver. If Miller can win this slot role, regardless of what anyone thinks about this passing offense, he by far more likely to get more snaps, touches, FF points than anyone else here. Expect Marvin Jones :D

I like McKinnon the most because he's shown talent in the NFL, nobody else has, except maybe Jones, depending on who that is.

I think Hill has potential value long term, as Freeman is a FA after the year, and Atlanta may let him go thinking he is more of a system guy than a true elite talent. I could easily see a 2018 with Coleman and Hill as the #1 and #2.

Miller has some upside, but he's a project, and more likely to be years away from relevance. Unless they let Hopkins walk, which seems highly unlikely, its hard to see him moving into the starting lineup anytime soon, and Houston isn't a team who airs it out, or goes 3-wide often.

None of these guys matter for 2017, so 2017 value is irrelevant here in my opinion.

FWIW, Murray was brought in as more of an Asiata replacement. I'm not big on McKinnon, but the O-line was a big part of his struggle.

The 2017 value only matters because if these guys are already on the WW/available then you can pick them up late season for next year. Unless one of them displays something this year. All 3 RBs are fighting for 3rd on their depth NFL team depth chart. Agholor is meh. Miller has a chance to win the starting slot job and at least flash this year. Everyone else on this list is buried on a depth chart. I know we aren't talking about studs here but Miller seems like the only one that could improve/have value this season. If the others are just going to be WW guys then why not take Miller?
