Although the Browns received the results of the MRIs Monday, they chose not to reveal the results until Wednesday. Coach Romeo Crennel admitted he doesn't receive the medical report until after his 11:30 a.m. news conference is over so he doesn't have to share it with the media.
"They don't tell me this stuff purposely, until the afternoon," Crennel said. Droughns hurt his shoulder in the first half of the 34-17 loss to the Bengals. Jason Wright subbed for him on the first series of the second half while Droughns was undergoing treatment.
"He got banged up a little bit," Crennel said. "The doctors are looking at him and they'll decide if it's serious or not. He got hit on the shoulder."
Droughns, who rushed for 32 yards on 14 carries (2.3-yard average), had a big collision with linebacker David Pollack on the Browns' second play that knocked Pollack out for the season with a neck injury.
Droughns may have hurt his shoulder then, but he played through the middle of the fourth quarter, except for a drive at the start of the second half. Droughns' last play was a ball that went through his hands and was intercepted.
Good stuff herethis doesn't sound "good". not saying it sounds bad.but it doesn't sound "good".
I think it'll be Wright on 1st and 2nd but Harrison on 3rd or long yardage. The Browns are against Balt this week though.Just so I'm ready if the news turns out bad, is the handcuff Jason Wright or Jerome Harrison?
Hard to tell. He's a up the middle hard runner similar to Droughns. He hasn't been on the field enough to tell yet. Also I'm gona guess the Droughns will play next week. The injury happened in the first half and he finished the game so I'm thinking that it isn't that bad but no real news out of the Browns yet.i haven't heard much on wright... 5'10''.... 210 lbs. he has the prototypical size. is he any good?
If Droughns is hurt, I see the Brownies throwing to Winslow and throwing deep to Braylon Edwards..does anyone know anything about this. I read he was hurt on the same play that pollack broke his neck, but stayed in the game. is the results of the MRI out?
I don't know. They did release Lee Suggs and William Green. I don't know if it was a money thing or if he he just beat them in traing camp. I like Jerome however. I just wonder about his size. He does have some thick legs.i haven't heard much on wright... 5'10''.... 210 lbs. he has the prototypical size. is he any good?

Yeah, why on earth would anybody want to grab a possible starter off of the WW.HandcuffThe browns stink, and they're playing Baltimore. Why on earth would you want Droughn's backup?Handcuffing players is for when they have value.
That sounds a lot worse...link
I think Droughns deserves his own thread.

I am in a 14 team dynasty league. I plucked Gore last year and was able to trade him down the strech to win my total points league. I plan on doing the samething with Jerome. There is nothing wrong with simple leagues when there is starting rb's on the waiver wire. Its just not for me. Jerome is a talent.HandcuffThe browns stink, and they're playing Baltimore. Wright/Harrison RBBC if Droughns is out
I'd be surprised if the Browns got more than 50 yards total rushing no matter who is carrying the ball. I'd stay far away from the Cleveland backfield this week.Wright/Harrison RBBC if Droughns is out![]()

Yep. And in 16 team leagues with something like 65 RBs already rostered, any RB who might be getting carries has some value. Also, if he's hurt, it could well stretch for multiple weeks. While they play Baltimore this week, they play the Raiders the following week.Yeah, why on earth would anybody want to grab a possible starter off of the WW.HandcuffThe browns stink, and they're playing Baltimore. Maybe, but sometimes making these decisions can cause you to miss out on a newly valuable player. While I don't see it either, if Wright or Harrison do well, it wouldn't be inconceivable to see one of them assume a RBBC role (and possibly more). Droughns is a decent back, but we're not talking LT, Alexander or Tiki here.I'd be surprised if the Browns got more than 50 yards total rushing no matter who is carrying the ball. And you know what, I forgot about Vickers on short yardage too! Stay away! Stay far away! No one will pick up Harrison or Wright for the Ravens game and will probably drop them the next week if they do. Harrison has a shot at getting more carries when Droughns comes back, but I doubt Wright can earn anymore PT. He is not the COP option that Harrison is.Maybe, but sometimes making these decisions can cause you to miss out on a newly valuable player. I saw the interview on NFL networks Point After. They cut away before the questons. What are the results of the MRI. This does not look good. There is a pattern developing with Romeo Crennel. Joe Jurevicius also has sore ribs after his MRI. We learn from JJ this week that he has cracked ribs. IMO he does not want let the Ravens game plan for a rookie in the backfield. I am going on the record and saying Droughns is out 2 -3 weeks with a slight shoulder separation. I watched the replay that broke Pollack's neck. It looks to me like that caused a slight separation.Update from KFFL. Hopefully no one was going to start him against the Ravens but this should be another reason to keep him benched this week:Browns | Droughns questionable for Week 3Wed, 20 Sep 2006 09:36:00 -0700Zac Jackson, of ClevelandBrowns.com, reports Cleveland Browns RB Reuben Droughns (shoulder) is questionable for Week 3.
Dude, did you also see him play the rest of the game? He missed one quick series for the next three quarters. He's going to be fine. I told you at the beginning of the week. Romeo Crennel has a pattern developing. The results of the MRI have never been released.
