Drunkest cities... (1 Viewer)

Those dry cities have much higher rates of premature death than drunk cities.  Guess who's hitting the Zima hard tonight?!?

How is New Orleans not on this list?

It is really heavy on Wisconsin and the upper midwest.
Heavily favors the per capita thing Id say.  Appleton is not very big (same with Oshkosh)...but a ton of bars and lots of drinking.

Favors smaller towns/cities it seems.

I've never seen such statistical dominance.  Wisconsin is the Wayne Gretzky of drinking.

How many times did you go to Beansnappers?
Never did...moved away when I was 15.  Drove by it all the time on the way to the cottage up near Shawano.

Used to be a different club out by the Fox River Mall...don't recall the name of that one though.

if you can find it there a chart somewhere on the web that shows where there are more bars than grocery stores in the us and it is basically wisconsin take that to the bank bromigos

I had a pet theory that the drunkest towns were probably the ones with the ugliest people. Seeing Wisconsin so prominently represented tells me I was correct. That and being a Packer fan are an evil combination.

My wife's family is from outside Green Bay (Shawano for those in and around Appleton) and they younger folk spend lots of time in bars. When you are in a place where it starts snowing in early August and goes until June, there is lots of reason to drink! ;)
