Duke T.I.P. Anyone? (1 Viewer)

Twins qualified for the Duke talent identification program.  I guess you qualify by test scores in math, science, and  reading. I told my twins to tell everyone they qualified because of sexual education. Guess they can take the SAT and ACT as a 7th grader.  Anyone have any knowledge of this program?  Good? Bad? Upside?

I did it and found it useful.  I went to one of their summer camps after 8th to get ahead one math year in three weeks.  Also took the sat so much I rested on my 9th grade scores - done with the whole thing before my classmates even took it for the first time.

I did it. Went to the summer camp but I don't remember getting credit for it. Didn't engage more with the program because #### Duke.

Is it like the Johns Hopkins center for talented youth? Did that as a kid. Think I took the SAT in the fifth or sixth grade, then PSAT every year after that, then the SAT again at the end of high school.

Really freaked out the high school seniors I took that first SAT with at 12 when I walked in the room. A few were joking around about becoming mechanics and plumbers if I outscored them. With an 880, I may have.
Great story. I made a 1060 when I was 12.

I did it and took the SATs when I was in 2nd grade.  I scored a 1310 in 5th grade.  For the next 7 years of school I did nothing but bang female teachers and read Garfield books.
