A buddy and I watched Dumb and Dumber, Happy Gilmore, and Billy Madison about a billion times in middle school. I think I touched my first female genitals during this movie.
Same here, with the inclusion of tommy boy. Pretty sure there was a two year period in like 9th grade where all communication was quotes from those movies.

Dazed and Confused and Friday would be my top choices for early-mid 90's flicks we couldn't stop quoting.

Though, I was never much of a fan of Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison. Though, I did love Sandler's stand-up CD (Shampoo is bettah!!!) and quoted the hell out of it.
Add Clerks and this is my list-though it'd be tricky to post some of the best quotes here. "In a row?"

Also a big D&D fan.

Caddyshack, Willy Wonka (original) and Barfly were my go-to quotables, especially the latter.

I liked D&D fine- but not my favorite.

So the wife and I just got back from a cruise. A group of younger guys late 20s maybe early 30s were at our restaurant for dinner. One formal night 2 of them wore the tuxes, cane and hat included. They posed for formal photos also. :lmao:

Some place warm...a place where the beer flows like wine...where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano....I'm talking about a little place called Aspen.

I don't know Lloyd, the French are a##holes.

very funny movie- solid 8 vote from me.

personally, I think it is the 3rd best farrelly brothers movie though.
FTR, I voted 10.

Watching D&D as a teen was the hardest I've ever laughed at the movies.

However, I will admit that I think There's Something About Mary is funnier.

I assume it is ahead of D&D for you...and I'm hoping Kingpin is the other since that movie is wall-to-wall genius.

nope- shallow hal!

j/k, those are the two that I would put ahead of dumb and dumber.

Gave it a 10. It is funny from beginning to end. It is my second favorite comedy. Caddyshack is #1.

I do not get all the love for Animal House. Please, do not get me wrong. Animal House is great and is almost as entertaining as D and D but it does not bring out the constant laughs.

Talk about two movies that don't deserve to be in the discussion.
I wasn't putting them in the conversation, but those movies were hilarious to me when i was in 6th and 7th grade.
And they're still funny now. They're a younger generations AH or Caddyshack. Everybody here will disagree but most people between the ages of 25-35 think those two Sandler movies are all time classic comedies. Most of you guys are just old.

No, Sandler just sucks.

Caddyshack is also a 10, yes. Incredibly quotable movie.

Animal House was a classic in its day but it hasn't aged particularly well.

9

It's as funny as a movie can be, but I reserve 10 for movies that go beyond just the gags. D&D doesn't match the characters in Caddyshack, The Big Lebowski, or This is Spinal Tap.

What do you mean? Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunn are names that will live on forever.
