Dumbest Waiver Wire Move Ever (1 Viewer)

I didn't queue up I Likely because I thought there was no way he'd be avail with my first pick.

WRONG!!

I DO have Kelce, but with Nacua injured I prolly could have traded Likely for a good WR.

Please make me feel better.

HIll is still avail. Should I pick him up and if so who should I drop..

I dropped TE Conklin and WR Demario Douglas to pick up Robinson and Jeudy.

My wr's are in bad shape.

My Team

QB - Dak, Mayfield

RB - John Taylor, Mixon, Conner

WR's - Nacua, Cooper, Hollywood, Cooks, Oduze and Jeudy and Robinson

TE- Kelce,

D Ravens and SEA

K- Moody

12 Team Flex, PPR

Never understood why people do those kind of things. Why not list a guy even if you think you won't get him? What is the harm in having him on your list?

Here is what I do:
  • Drop Conklin and a defense. No need to roster two defenses and you will be able to get a Conklin equivalent off waivers at any time.
  • Pick up Justice Hill. He has value.
  • Without knowing the WR's that are available it's tough to make any suggestions.

No they're on my team. I just picked up Jeudy and Robinson on waivers.

I have Ferguson, Likely was drafted so no waiver there so I picked up Hill as insurance. Most TEs are a coin flip might as well as play the lotto on Hill.

It is unlikely that Likely will ever do what he did last week ever again.
While he may not put up the combo of 9 for 111 I see no reason he can't have multi TD games and be in the 80-90 ish range of yards which would be a better game than what he had last week. I don't see that fantasy production as unattainable from here on out. He will get the targets in that offense and he is good after the catch.

So lets see what we can do here. The good was picking up Jeudy and Robinson. I don't think either will be league winners but possibly serviceable to get you through the next few weeks. Rough that you have both Cooper and Jeudy but what can you do. Might be one or the other each week performing. I lean Cooper year long as he has proven to be the better WRs. Better days ahead for him I think.

How many WRs do you have to start? I think I start Cooper and Cooks if you need 2. Robinson could be decent with Puka out but it isn't that exciting.

Q: Why are you carrying 2 Ds and 2 QBs? Are you able to start more than 1? It is wasted bench spots that could be back up RBs with upside that if they hit you can start them or trade them.

One thing I would try to do (it might be hard) but package up Mayfield + a WR for a higher tier WR. See if any team is QB needy and can you send mayfield + WR for one of their starters.

I really like your RBs but one injury and you are in trouble. I'd be stashing back-up RBs instead of carrying 2 QBs, 2TEs and 2 DST. You have Dak and Kelce you don't need a backup until the bye week and then just stream the best available for that week.

I just start 2 WR's and a flex (Taken by a RB)

I like to play matchups. Thus an extra D and QB.

Baker put up more 30pts than Lamar. Not someone I care to drop.

That is why I suggested shopping Mayfield + WR to see if you can upgrade at WR. No worries if you don't but it will be hard figuring out which WR to start each week.

A 2 for 1 (if you can) upgrading your WR room and then it leaves you a spare bench spot to pick up a high upside RB. For me personally (the way I play), nothing is worse than having a bunch of WR3s on my roster not knowing who might go off that week. I find it a lot easier having 2-3 good WRs I can lock and load each week and not have to worry. I think Cooper can be that guy but you will always be wanting more from your WR2 spot. Moreover you will be in tough during bye weeks or if a RB gets injured. But to each their own. You have to be happy and enjoy it.

I'm curious though - let me know the weeks you start Mayfield over Dak.

I"m thinking about picking up RB HIll for SEA D.
Justice Hill? I like it. Good backup that has been getting touches. Coaches said today they don't want to run Henry into the ground. If Henry gets dinged up Hill could be the lead guy. Coaches trust Hill.

Now while I like Hill as a back-up, be flexible and pivot if you see some other RB who might get more reps or have more upside.

Will do.

Thanks Nate!
