Dump Tony Kornheiser for Kenny Mayne (1 Viewer)

I agree, I don't think Kenny Mayne is the answer.

He's probably too busy and tied up with his new internet show anyway.

I don't remember the name of it. Not a fan.

Really, who is the last announcer that people actually LIKED?

No one likes Madden, he's a moron

No one likes Korheiser

No one likes Mayne

Obviously TV values their color commentators otherwise they would just leave 2 in the booth and that's that. Bringing in these annoying color commentators is what sets them apart from the others and makes the show more entertaining. Yes, I don't like him either, but you complain and complain and the next guy will be just as bad. Just wait...

Oh God NO

Mayne is the worst. If anyone could be worse than Tony it's Mayne.

Get Sterling Sharpe.

I miss the days of Frank, Al , and dare I say Dierdorf.
agreed. dierdorf was kind of annoying, but tolerable. that 3-some had good chemistry.

for the record i like Madden. kornheiser is annoying. mayne is a monotone dork. actually what annoys me more than kornheiser is jaws disagreeing or finding something wrong with EVERYTHING that kornheiser says.

You could replace Kornheiser with a cardboard cutout of a mentally challenged smurf and it would be an improvement.

Al and Madden are still the A Team in the biz.Westwood One radio has Marv Albert and Boomer Esiason, whom I find equally as tolerable.
I enjoy listening to Denny Green and whoever he's normally teamed with on Westwood One.

While we're on the topic of announcers, Brian Billick has quickly become one of the best color guys in the business IMO. I'm sure he'll get another coaching gig soon somewhere but he's really, really good.

I'd take Rosie O'Donnell over Kornholio. I don't mind the Sharpes. Shannon has brutal english skills, but what he's saying isn't too bad. I'd prefer the color guy to be a little less overbearing though. Mooch isn't too bad, but Favre would get too many Monday night games. I like the idea of leaving the two already there by themselves. Announcers shouldn't be the biggest part of the game. Just point out some stuff we can't see on the telecast, and some obscure facts/stats and let the game do the rest.

Wasn't it that once upon a time the color guy was the #2 in the booth, adding depth and stories to the play by play guy?

When did it become necessary to have some dude discussing stuff that is almost irrelevant to what is going on? To ruin the flow of a game play by play with random chatter and hyperbole?

I don't mind some occasional off topic stuff but the three man booth is irritating almost no matter who is in there. One of the two is almost always overlap and unnecessary.

we try to record about 25 minutes ahead so we can fast forward commercials and when Kornheiser talks!

eta: I thought Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk did a great job filling in for **** Vermeil when he couldn't speak on one of the first NFL network games. It would be great to have either on Monday Night I think.

Jerry Glanville, he was great in the booth. Although he would say stuff to get into trouble, but he was great.

Madden blows.

I like Deion. He is colorful, articulate, and could provide a good Defense-perspective to Jaws' Offense-perspective. Sure, Deion can at time go over the top, but at least when he does, he doesn't seem to be as grating as Korny w/ his blabber.

I agree with any and all who think Mayne is NOT the answer, but don't you all realize that by posting this here you're officially signing the official petition? Best not to post!

Please, no. Espn only has 2 decent guys left in Ravich and Levy imo, but neither one belongs in the MNF booth.

Just get rif of TK and let the show go on.
