A Roselle, Ill., police officer made the traffic stop of a lifetime after spotting a motorist cruising the street with a 15-foot tree embedded in the grille of her car, the Chicago Tribune reports. The officer's dashboard camera recorded the unusual traffic stop Jan. 23. The video was recently posted on the Police Department's Facebook page.
A motorist noticed the car -- and its unusual hood ornament -- about 11 p.m. and called police. The Tribune said driver Maryann Christy, 54, told police she hit the tree somewhere in her hometown of Schaumburg, 3 1/2 miles away, but didn't remember where.
The airbags in her 2004 Lincoln had deployed, presumably from hitting the tree, police said. They booked her with drunk driving.
