Dwyer (1 Viewer)

How will he be used? Purely as a potential backup? To be an instant guy that can spell Mendenhall? If he does well in camp and pre-season does it turn into a Carolina style time share?

anything is possible but I doubt the bolded. Frankly him sliding this far lets you know what the league thinks. the league can be wrong obviously but hes a depth player IMO.

In one dynasty league where we hold the rookie draft before the NFL draft, Dwyer was the pick at 1.04. Anquan Boldin was traded straight up to move into that pick.....
That is why you never do a rookie draft before the NFL.
this actually seems like a great reason TO do it before the nfl draft. that is absolutely hilarious.
Considering 99% of draftnicks/scouts/etc had him as a top 10 NFL draft pick and by far the #1 RB in his class just 8 months ago, it was a smart pick at the time...but yeah, it's laughable now...then again, Mendy is always going to be injury prone, imo, and it could pay off!

Shefter said a bunch of teams took him completely off the board due to "medical reasons". What are these medical reasons? Can't just be ADD can it?

Bum shoulder. He played with a shoulder injury this year. Teams might be worried it could be a chronic issue.

Do you think his pass blocking skills and his inability to show his catching ability in college really scared teams off Matt?

We do our 1st round of 16 the night before and Dwyer went pick 1.13.

He didn't show catching ability because he was barely ever targeted in the passing game. From the times he was targeted, he did a pretty good job catching the ball with his hands.

He doesn't have a tons of receptions but being in the triple/spread option, hasn't he shown that he has decent, soft hands? I recall reading that he had tiny hands... like, not wanting to go to BK small... seems like he's have more fumbles though if it were that big of a deal.
