Dyansty IDP draft in progress (1 Viewer)

I think you're in trouble.

You committed 5 of your top 9 picks to RB, which may be overkill. But even in doing that you're still hardly loaded at the position. You've gone the veteran route with WR's. Methinks Moose shouldn't have been taken in the 1st 9 rounds. I don't normally favor going heavy IDP in the early rounds but you're starting 3 more defensive players than my league does. For comparison's sake I took 2 defensive players in my first 10 picks. You need to get in on the LB'ers. For as many offensive players as you've drafted you just don't seem loaded. By continuing to wait on defense you're going behind the 8 ball. Basically, without a top notch offense and lacking defenisive playmakers, where are you going to get your scoring from?

I don't think it's horrible and hopeless.

But I don't understand why you traded Torry Holt. And I don't know that I'd draft players like Deuce and Dominic Rhodes in a dynasty league, even if I'm playing for the win now with guys like Barber and Westbrook. Don't see either as having much trade value now or next season.

I don't normally advocate taking defensive players highly necessarily, but in a 16 teamer dynasty with 11 defensive starters, there's much more value in a Vilma, Umenyiora, Wilson, etc than WR and RB who will be replacement level talent at best.

Not trying to turn this into a WDIS..but I was thinking that RBs are a must especially in a 16 teamer when everyones depth at the position will be lacking. We have to start 2 rbs. I think Rhodes will hold on to the job for at least this year and should produce pretty decent rb #3 numbers. A nice spot and bye week start. Rhodes is a Free agent next year too if I'm not mistaken.

Deuce will get the brunt of the carries and probably the goalline work. He doesn't have a lot of mileage on him so at the worst he is traded and goes into an Edge situation for 2-3 years. Westbrook is injury prone but in a PPR 16 teamer,,I couldn't pass...wanted to try some different thinking...might have out thought myself :(

My wrs are ole but I think Ward, Mason, and Moose are all potential top 20wrs...we start 3wrs

I plan to load up on LBs now...will really put my FBG subscription to use :D

Any other thoughts

I basically traded Holt for Ward in order to move up 12 spots and grab Deuce. RBs were getting scarce and I felt like Deuce would be a good #3rb

An update...we are in round 22 of 36..my roster is as follows

Still in trouble? Tried to pull it together...remember it's a 16 teamer startup dynasty

Start 1QB/2rbs/3wrs/1 TE/1K/4LBs/4DBs/3DL...positions get bonuses for KR and PR yards...PPR
