I am in a 10 team salary cap Dynasty with IDP and 40 man roster. Salary goes up $2 every year can currently caps at $460. Starters are: 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/3DL/4LB/4DB. Scoring is 1/10 rushing yard, 1/10 receiving, 1/30 passing, -5 fumble, -5 interception, 10 TD (offense or defense), 1 tackle (solo or asst), 5 forced fumble, 5 fumble recovery, 1/10 interception return yds, 1/10 sack loss yards.

My team is:

QB: Drew Brees($14), Marc Bulger($20), JP Losman($12), Bruce Gradkowski($3)

RB: Larry Johnson($18), Willis McGahee($20), Laurence Maroney($14), Adrian Peterson($12), Thomas Jones($13), Deangelo Williams($14)

WR: Deion Branch($14), Marques Colston($3), Randy Moss($30), Terry Glenn($6), Chris Chambers($22), Chris Henry($8), Michael Clayton($16)

TE: Tony Gonzalez($32), Desmond Clark($12)

K: Robbie Gould($3)

DL: Will Smith($14), Derrick Burgess($11), Dwight Freeney($20), Bryan Thomas($3), Adewale Ogunleye($13)

LB: Ray Lewis($26), Lance Briggs($10), Andra Davis($14), Daryl Smith($5), Omar Gaither($3), Tedy Bruschi($20), D'Qwell Jackson($10), Chris Draft($3)

DB: Bob Sanders($7), Dawan Landry($3), Nnamdi Asomugha($3), Madieau Williams($13)

2007 Draft Choices: 1.1($12), 1.4($12), 3.7($7)...

Bolded = Starter

Strike Through = Likely to be Cut

Drafted in 2007 (draft still going)

I think I need help at linebacker with so many questions. I may be good if Daryl Smith starts in the middle or Omar Gaither wins the job over Trotter.

I have a pick at 1.4 and 3.7 in the rookie draft. Who should I be looking to grab? Is Paul Poz. too soon with the 1.4 pick?

Poz is too soon for the 1.4 pick. If you can't get CJ, I'd try to package 1.4 and trade down. With Poz, Willis and Beason, you should be able to pick up SOMEONE late round 1 / early round 2, and maybe get something worthwhile for your 1.4 pick as well.

Not in many of the leagues that I've seen. After CJ, Lynch, AP and Russell there isn't great talent. I've seen Willis and Poz go mid first round and Beason in round 2.

I think you should use some of your abundance at RB to shore up your WR's. To me that is your weakest unit.

I agree with Taz...and he knows weak units.... :goodposting:

Thanks for the input. I've been trying to get a WR, but there isn't anyone willing to trade or they want Larry Johnson or Laurence Maroney which are my current starters. Lynch went #3 and I am fine at QB. I think I want to go LB but I need help this year with the questions around Briggs. Will Poz outscore Willis, or is Willis the guy to get?

I'm the President of the Patrick Willis fan club, and I think he will outscore Poz this year and longterm. However, many guys I respect on this board feel differently. Its a tough call.
