Anybody do a startup draft?
2.11 is when a rookie spacer 1.01 went in a league 4 weeks ago.Curious how high 1.01 would go in a startup draft that allows picks to be selected.
two qb league? When I saw evil pandas started with Gronk and Luck I thought I was going to love their draft, but now there are three qb's in his first nine picks.
No it's 1 QB. Several teams were able to take advantage of newbies who had almost no understanding of startup trade values (Pandas (who also happens to be the OP for this startup) being one of them). Couple that with two Brothers trading 6-10 times in first few rounds (with one brother literally giving away HUGE value to the other in every trade has made this startup extremely challenging to say the least.MAC_32 said:two qb league? When I saw evil pandas started with Gronk and Luck I thought I was going to love their draft, but now there are three qb's in his first nine picks.Zdravko said:

and that was after Seattle traded for Jimmy Graham making it even more curious. In the 7 Points draft - Luke Willson at 6.05 was the worst pick of the draft so far. So many good players still available.
So the guy basically traded away 1.03 for 3.11 and 4.03 - that's a little off (buyer's remorse after a few days).then turned around soon after and traded Bell to Pandas for a 3.11 and 4.3.
Yes though if I recall correctly it was probably less than 24 hours. So the guy basically traded away 1.03 for 3.11 and 4.03 - that's a little off (buyer's remorse after a few days).then turned around soon after and traded Bell to Pandas for a 3.11 and 4.3.
He picked them then traded half of them to get more 2 & 3's (traded Green, DT, Murray, Morris). He's also the guy who trade raped his brother to gain a lot of early value.Sanchise Part II with 9 picks in the first three rounds: AJ Green, Demaryius Thomas, Aaron Rodgers, Lesean McCoy, DeMarco Murray, Jamal Charles, Kelvin Benjamin, Keenan Allen and Alfred Morris.
Not sure how he pulled that off - but he's going to be tough to beat for the first couple of seasons.
Yeah this draft is kind of confusing with over 50 trades where people are picking players and trading them for picks later in the draft.

I've never had to quit a league but I'd one and done.He picked them then traded half of them to get more 2 & 3's (traded Green, DT, Murray, Morris). At least one person as much stated he was probably one and done. I probably would have changed my draft strategy had I known.I'd take it a step further and say, "Give me my money back."I've never had to quit a league but I'd one and done.He picked them then traded half of them to get more 2 & 3's (traded Green, DT, Murray, Morris). It's hard to believe that a draft mistake wasn't allowed to be reversed. No one in their right mind would take Luke Willson in the sixth round - why do that to the guy?At least one person as much stated he was probably one and done. I probably would have changed my draft strategy had I known. The Luke Wilsson pick at 6.5 was a mistake that the owner tried to unsuccessfully get reversed. Needless to say it has not been smooth.
Yeah I was in Vegaa during the early portion of the draft so never really caught up on how soon the mistake was caught by said owner but there was a vote and one person said no. Apparently rules changes, etc require majority vote which probably needs to be revisited amongst other things. It's hard to believe that a draft mistake wasn't allowed to be reversed. I still can't get over trading away a guy one drafted at 1.03 for picks 3.11 and 4.03 (and then the guy took two 30 year old RBs with those picks to make it even worse).
Talk about a start up draft disaster - sorry to pile on.
It went 3.1 in this draft I am in.Curious how high 1.01 would go in a startup draft that allows picks to be selected.
I would probably own half the first round rookie draft if I were drafting in that league. Picks seem to be going late.It went 3.1 in this draft I am in.http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2015/options?L=60981&O=17Curious how high 1.01 would go in a startup draft that allows picks to be selected.

I was just counting those. That's atrocious.Sanchise Part II with 9 picks in the first three rounds: AJ Green, Demaryius Thomas, Aaron Rodgers, Lesean McCoy, DeMarco Murray, Jamal Charles, Kelvin Benjamin, Keenan Allen and Alfred Morris.

Jesus the owners of "Evil Pandas" and "Sanchise Part II" are doing ####### work.
Can't tell with the word being blocked out if it's a compliment or not!Jesus the owner of "Evil Pandas" is doing ####### work.

Just to clarify: Green was not traded for a 2 and a 3 (only DT was). Green was traded along with a 6 for a 2 and a 3. That trade ended up effectively being Murray and Charles for Green and McKinnon which seems on point to me.Good to see that startup becoming such a hot topic. It's hard to believe that a draft mistake wasn't allowed to be reversed. I am the Pandas' owner. I saw the league was overvaluing WRs and targeted Luck and Gronk early on as I thought they were falling too far. Then missed out on two-three WR tier runs, so rather than drafting players I didn't believe in, decided to experiment with QB dynasty value retention. We'll see how it goes.
LeVeon Bell for 3rd and 4th was very unexpected, but I don't see as that crazy of a bargain. We had Demariyus and AJ Green each get traded for 2nd and 3rd.
The league actually had a vote whether to reverse the Luke Wilson error pick and it passed without problem. The owner then refused (!), insisting she - no, not a typo, she - wanted "to own up to her mistake".
The two brothers' teams are Sanchise and MeettheRidler. http://football30.myfantasyleague.com/2015/options?L=53355&O=07Despite all the early trade hoopla, their rosters seem okay at the end. Sanchise surely has a strong one, but he won a lot of early trades, not just with his sibling. It would look even more different after the rookie draft.
True, apologies - you did get a 6th back in that AJ Green trade. Not as bad as the Demariyus one.Just to clarify: Green was not traded for a 2 and a 3 (only DT was). A 3 and a 4 startup pick for a top 5-7 Dyno player is robbery! But JDC clearly is new to Dyno and he showed his hand early wrt effectively advertising he had buyers remorse not taking a WR and going Bell. Hence both Sanchize and you were able to capitalize. As you did later when he traded you the 1.10 and 2.3 rookie picks for a 9 and 14 startup picks. It was well done on your part and honestly I'm jealous I wasn't able to make anything like that happen!
Wanna hear something funny about the first deal I did with Sanchize that included the 1.4? We were in agreement on the deal than he comes back and says..oh I though you had the 4.10 startup pick Not the 4.11. Well we are going to have to renegotiate because That completely changes who I think will be there based on How I think the draft will go. Mind you this was while we were still in round 1 of the start up. Ultimately I talked him off the ledge saying if he could really predict how the draft was going to go that precisely then he was in he wrong line of work. But it was certainly foreshadowing of what was to come on that front!True, apologies - you did get a 6th back in that AJ Green trade. Your post made me look back at the draft. For LeVeon, you could get Adrian Peterson + Gio Bernard with the 3rd and 4th. Not bad, I think. Initial dynasty drafts have weird dynamics, it's always better to compare players than picks.
I agree, I had a good deal for the rookie 1.10. He was determined to sell in the chat and was benchmarking against a number of bad offers. But you did quite well yourself with Sanchize, capturing his 1.4 and 1.7 rookie picks at serious discounts. I'd rather have your rookie trades than mine!
Interesting strategy by 82 Ricos - seems a little overboard, but it should be fun.jeaton6 said:On that started earlier this week

Very nice. In a recent rookie start-up I grabbed OBJ at the 1.01, Cooper at 2.12, Cooks at 3.01, Agholor at 5.01 and Adams at 6.12.This one's ongoing, into round 4 now. 12 teams, standard PPR, flexible lineups, one round Devy's (slot drafted in start-up).

Youth, potential longevity, and WR's being valued even more highly than usual, it seems like.
Pretty happy with my haul so far, Evans/Watkins/Cooks/Agholor. Had to trade back into the end of the second for Cooks, and made a small trade up to make sure I got Agholor.
