You have a point. Of course he ended up a hall of famer. So he was a special talent. None of these guys are in that class.
When he was drafted he was hands down the #1. I took Calvin at #1 and Peterson went #2 because they too were special talents. It sucked bad that Calvin went to Detroit because their suckage limited his numbers especially at the end.

2 teams that will absolutely not draft him are BALT & NE, (Belicheck would take him cheap but Kraft won't allow it).
KC has shown that they absolutely will.

You guys might be right but the tea leaves currently day otherwise.
The video evidence makes it a much tougher situation. A league with viewership down 11% probably doesn't want that video circulating too much.

This will be fascinating to watch unfold. I don't put much stock in anything "team sources" are leaking pre-draft, because if a team is looking to scoop a 1st round talent in the 3rd-6th rounds, then of course they're going to leak that no team will touch him in the draft. Can't wait to see what really happens and where he ends up whether drafted or not.
The video hurts but logically that makes no sense. What Hill did was much worse. 2 punches, one in the face, one in the stomach of a pregnant woman. Because ther is no video? Do you really need a video to know how horrible that was?
It's up to Mixon now.

Anyone playing dumb about why a video objectively makes this situation worse for the NFL team that drafts him is either being intellectually dishonest, or not imaginative enough.
It's irrational on multiple levels but in terms of the media and the public consciousness, a short, brutal video of one offense is "worse" than simply talking about a more heinous offense. You can only talk so much, and this election should have proven that people will choose what they believe. But this video will pop up all over social media and the Internet for his entire career, and cause new waves of SJW uproar every time.
Even if it doesn't make sense to you on an emotional level because you're a pretty rational person, it's still very clear why this matters for PR reasons. To argue otherwise is to ignore human nature, the 24/7 media culture, and the prevalence of Internet SJW's today, as well as the outsized effect they can have on any situation.

i think he's a 1st round talent. I think he may not be drafted in the 1st round, not solely because of the video, but because of how he handled it afterwards and possible poor interviews during the combine/draft process. From the interviews after his battery of the young female, he never once imagined how horrible it was for the female, and viewed himself as a victim. If he keeps that attiude during the draft process, some GMs may think he would repeat his actions (we all know there will be opportunity), which is the only thing GMs really want. If he gets a bit of empathy, or at least acts like it, then GMs won't see an off-field liability and he'll be fine and drafted highly.

NE will draft anyone. They drafted a future mass murderer, when most teams had him on their DND list, they also drafted a guy that got into a gunfight on campus in the 1st round. They want good football players, not good citizens. BB might think taking Hernandez was a mistake, but only because he made himself unavailable to play on Sundays.

Yup. Kirwin and Polian have expressed the same view. Kirwin suggested he will be lucky to get an opportunity to play in the CFL. Will be interesting to watch this unfold.

Nothing from the last few months points to him keeping that attitude. He seems to have taken a very apologetic "what I did was wrong and horrible, but I am a different man now" approach these last few months.
What I'm getting at is this:
Tyreek Hill - we never saw what you did. We only saw the damage to the victim afterwards. You are ok to play in the NFL.
Joe Mixon - We see what you did on video. This is unacceptable. Tyreek Hill you are good to go because we have no video.

If you remember when he came out people were questioning the level of competition he faced while at TCU. So, he wasn't exactly a slam dunk #1 by a lot of people. Being from Ft. Worth I got to see several games in person and I knew he was the real deal.
His situation reminds me of Davis this year. People are questioning his level of competition but his skill set is obviously off the charts.
Anyway, my point is a lot can change over a season or two. I believe in the talented player himself. I don't care about the coaches themselves because that can change too. Now, if the organization itself is just horrible for certain positions then I'll rethink drafting someone. Only then do I take into account where they are drafted otherwise it's draft BPA.

It's the world. It's the reason why people can hear about Aleppo and just shrug it off but 20 years from now a movie will come out about it that wins 7 oscars and everyone will wonder how we didn't do something about it. It's the reason you're still willing to have Adrian Peterson on your fantasy team. It's human nature and people can only step away from it if they stop and think about it, which very few actually do.

Kiper on his ESPN national radio show yesterday morning said Mixon would come off the board before the end of the third round.
The narrative is already changing... the biggest talking head about the draft at the biggest network is saying it won't keep him from being drafted, and we're nearly four months away from the draft.

Agreed on Davis. He can still put up numbers with any QB. I just hope he goes to TEN or Philly as the #1 since I have the 3rd pick. I amy need Cook to go to INDY though. If Cook goes to a backup spot or RBBC, Davis could go #2 in our draft.

I was wondering what everyone thinks of Watson, Kiser, and Trubinski. I haven't watched much tape on any of them.
I know where they land plays a huge part.
Chicago (Jeffrey is he stays and Kevin White, then again Howard runs the ball 20-30 times a game) and Buffalo (Watkins, Woods, McCoy) seem like good destinations. I'm from Cleveland, running from whoever lands there. Lol though I do like Coleman, Pryor, Crowell is ok. I've seen too much of the insanity thinking a QB is the solution.

As a David Johnson owner, I'd be upset, but I'd probably take him? Idk.
Az needs O-line way more than a 1st round RB. My hope is Cook or Fournette goes to Indy or Baltimore. They have an ok line, and they badly want another stud RB (which Dixon isn't).

I like whoever goes to Carolina Indy, Jax/NYJ a little less. Stewart is on the back 9 and They want longevity in Cam, talking about changing his style. Gore is about done. As an owner of the 1.1 and 1.2 I'm leaning toward Cook/Fournette. If Davis goes to the right team, I may consider trading down. (team is WR needy)

I agree but these seem like reasons to not be down on Carolina and Indy?
Personally, of spots that I see as realistically open, I view Indy and Tampa as top two spots but I do like those spots most of all for Cook who I think needs a good passing game to reach his ceiling. Fournette I'm less worried about landing spot, I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way where I just think landing spot is more critical for Cook's value.

I agree. I was simply using a worst case scenario. They would more likely draft someone like Kamara as their #2 later in the draft.
There is a great chance that he is drafted by IND. which makes him quite valuable.

I'm in talks for 1.1 or 1.2 for Cooper or Watkins and 1.4
I value Cooper more than Watkins - but I'm WR needy and adding Cooper/Davis or Williams while still drafting Cook or Fournette with Derrick Henry in the wings will be a plus.

I think that is a great return if you can swing it.
You have time. The rookie picks tend to increase in value around march. Make sure you hold out for the best return you can get. Let other owners make offers before making a final decision.

Was just about to type a message saying two things. First I agreed with georg and would in fact rate both of those WR's over JuJu and the second thing I was going to say is right now I rate Foreman and two other RB's over Perine but Foreman highest rated of those three.
