Dynasty advice please - my bench is too good (1 Viewer)

I've been playing dynasty only leagues for nearly twenty years. Won a few championships, but not as many as I would have liked.

There seems to be one thing all my teams have in common - my bench usually scores the most out of all the other teams. I don't think it is because I choose the wrong players to start, I'm just not sure why it always happens and what I should infer from this statistic. Is it a bad thing or good?  It's not like I have all the best players in the league or I would win more. Should I be trying to trade some of the bench players in order to improve my starters?   Hope this question is not too stupid. I have a feeling I am missing something obvious.  Thanks!

It's a good thing, it means you have depth, and yes it does mean you should be able to make moves to upgrade at a position in 2 fer deals.

Sometimes I have found that having too deep a bench can be counter productive if you don't have the elite must start guys.  You end up with 3 or 4 above average quality guys at a few positions and now you are trying to play matchups and invariably remember all the times you made the wrong choice and played the wrong guy.

Having depth is great but learning how to use the depth is the key.  Study the other teams and try and figure out where they have their strengths and weaknesses and see if you can use your depth to pull from the their strengths as an upgrade to your starting lineup and help their weakness.  That is the best way to try and get trades done.
