Dynasty Bell for DJ Trade (1 Viewer)

12 team non PPR dynasty league.  22nd season, all veterans of at least 12 years.

My team is fading from competitiveness but not completely dead.  Team with David Johnson is shockingly still right in the mix, but his RBs 2/3 behind Hunt are Ty Montgomery and Abdullah.  I figured if I could get a sweetheart deal for Bell and look to next season, It may be worth it.  I offered:

Bell

for

DJ, 1st, 2nd

Picks should by all means be late.  Possibly even 12/24.  Its a move I would consider personally if in his shoes because I dont think he has the horses with Montgomery and Abdullah barring a change in the dynamic for either of them.  The difference between having Montgomery in your lineup vs Bell is more than significant, and tilts the scales considerably.  That said, I could understand it being rejected, as it is still a lot to give up.

Offer was scoffed at as wildly unfair after being ignored for 2 days.  Not a big deal...I wasnt all that excited about it anyway as I am not out of it yet.  Wondering what others think though.  Was that not an equitable offer given the circumstances?

I think it is a move than only a completely desperate owner would move on for this year.  It is a big overpay for Bell but sometimes that has to be done to win a title.  He doesn't get hurt that much for the future since he will still have Bell although you didn't say if there were any keeper concerns like salary cap implications or a cap on how long you can keep someone.

It was a nice attempt but probably quite a bit high depending on the mentality of the DJ owner.
