DYNASTY: Chris Henry (1 Viewer)

He's WR5 for the Bengals right now.

1: Chad Johnson

2: TJ Houshmandzadeh

3: Antonio Chatman

4: Kelley Washington

5: Chris Henry

I'm sure he's worth a spot somewhere.

he had a lot of promise last year, but this year he seems to be forgotten
Absolutely. He's a better prospect (based on talent alone) than anyone in this years draft class AND last year's as well (and no, I didn't forget about Braylon, Williamson, BMW, or Chad Jackson). His current legal entanglements may actually be a blessing in disguise. If it affords him the opprotunity to ply his trade elsewhere with less competition...the sky really is the limit. You'll never be able to aquire him as cheaply as you can now. Grab him.

can he play this year due to his legal troubles?
I believe (if I read correctly), that he is expected to be suspended at least 4 games by the NFL, if not more.He needs to make a change soon though, and I'm not sure he's reached the bottom of his fall yet.

He wasn't worth a spot on my 20 man dynasty roster during cutdowns, and after our rookie/free agent draft in two weeks I'm sure he'll remain rosterless.

Possibly. The guy is an idiot in the first degree, but he's still one of the most talented WRs from his class.

I don't feel he's worth a spot in any league, regardless of roster size.

Why even discuss it if he can't go six months without getting arrested?

He is worth a roster with the understanding that he has legal troubles out rear, could be suspended, and unrated in all of this he is coming of off knee surgery. he is more talented than most the guys thrown around these boards as the next whoever and is in a quality offense with an excellent QB.

Roster him towards the end of your bench with little expectation for 2006, but as a huge upside guy if he ever gets his head on right. Probably a longshot, but well worth it in my opinion.

It of course depends on what else is out there on your waiver wire. Unless you're really hurting for space, I see no reason not to hold onto him right now. The Bengals can't cut him specifically due to his legal troubles and he's extremely talented (many people thought he would push TJ for the WR2 job this year before his legal troubles started.) Marvin has paid lip service to saying how dissappointed they are in Henry, but the Bengals actions drafting other character risk players doesn't jive well with those comments. Might as well wait until preseason to see how the chips fall and if Henry still has a roster spot or gets cut and picked up by another team.
