You need an "other" vote selection.

I vote for Ken Hamlin. :football:

One to look out for over the next couple of years is Daniel Bullocks.

I voted for Troy...Barber was close too....other guys are good, but think Troy and Ronde are a notch above. No way would I pick one of the rookies like Marshall or Bullocks as #2. They are nice, but I would like to see them do it for more than one year before I pick one of them to anchor my DB corp.

Ronde is a couple of years from retirement, and as much as I think Troy is solid, he can't keep abusing his body like he is. BTW, I never said Bullocks was #2, I just said he is one to watch for the next couple of years.

This made Rhodes the SLIGHTLY better pick for me.

I remember 2 years ago when Erik Coleman was a rookie and just blew up. His and Vilma's #'s are both down, so I believe what the poster said earlier about Bullocks and Marshall earlier could be applied to Rhodes seeing as though he is a rookie.

Polamalu or Roy Williams. Tough between the two but Troy gets it. I don't care his abuse. He's not going to retire at 28 and he's only 25 now.

Not nearly as big a Rhodes fan as others. Great start but not talented enough to make my top three. Maybe top five.

I will be adding Ken Hamlin and Roy Williams to the next poll. I can add Josh Bullocks as well if people think he deserves consideration. I expect Roman Harper to make an impact on Bullocks performance when he returns to health however. He had a good start prior to injury.

So far Rhodes is winning this one. I will let it run for awhile longer though and hopefully we see more votes for a clearer consensus.

Thanks everyone for participating.

Any chance you'd add Madieu Williams in the next vote?

I wouldn't vote for him above TP or Rhodes (although it's arguable), but above the bottom 5 on this list for sure (IMO)

Will do  Having some buyers remorse that I traded Madieu for Kevin Curtis in one league. He is a good one.

Roy Williams is the #66 ranked Db in my league. He is just not being used like he has in the past. I think it's the defensive scheme and not him.

Several reasons I like Rhodes here. First and foremost.... the coaching staff and it's long term future, thus the sytem has long term viabilty, and there fore a D scheme that is unlikely to change for several years. This means Rhodes will stay in this scheme that gets him FF points for the long term. The coaching situations in Washington, Az, NYG, Cleveland and even Pittsburgh are not very stable. With coaching changes come scheme changes, and a player who looked like a top five stud can drop out of the top ten quickly, the way Vilma did.

Secondly, Rhodes is smart, and a Mangini favorite. Because he understands Mangini's sometimes complicated schemes, he's always on the field, calling the D coverage schemes for the D backfield. He plays within Mangini's schemes, has more than enough atletisism to remain a top five DB in this scheme.

A Wilson, Polamalu, G Wilson, S Taylor, M Williams, all could have their production suffer under new coaching regimes. Coleman was something of a vicim due to a new CS.

When I evaluate IDP 's for dynasty leagues, I first look for production, and next consider how stable the CS situation is. A player like a D Ryans gets a boost in my rankings because I don't see any real threat to Kubiak for at least two more years. Other than injuries, scheme changes are the biggest potential threat to IDP's who have proven their ability to rack up FF points in dynasty formats. That is a general rule of thumb, and there are always some exceptions....
