Dynasty Draft too long?? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

Not a pressing issue, but something has been bothering me in my dynasty league. We are a 10-team dynasty league, and we have a draft of four rounds that begins midnight July 1st. Mostly rookies. As of 6pm on July 3rd, we have had 5 selections total. Once a selection has been made, the next team has 24 hours to make their pick. There has been one trade of draft picks, but only five picks made. I'm bothered by how long it's taking guys to make a pick. Am I wrong on this? Just curious what other people think.

Thanks-Rob

I would question why someone needs 24 hours? The timer should be a maximum of 8 hours, which I suppose could be turned off at night if need be.

From my experience, the younger crowd doesnt see taking 23:55 to make a pick as disrespectful or rude. It's made rookie drafts a terrible experience for me in a few of my leagues. I do have a league where everyone is 40+ and that draft is always over within 48 hours.

I used to get anxious about how long a draft takes. I would text owners when they were on the clock and discuss how slow it was going in league forums. Then, a couple of years ago, we finished one very quickly and I thought, 'there goes the whole off-season with 3 months left of doing next to nothing until camps open. I play and draft because I like it. Drafting days are better in life than non-drafting days. So I decided to enjoy the whole draft and let it play out. Now I pretty much enjoy the whole thing. What's the hurry?
