Full PPR dynasty 8 person

Start 2 QB, 3 rb, 3 wr, 2 TE, 3 flex (RB/WR/TE). 20 bench spots but no IR spots. Top 6 teams go to playoffs. Top team in each division based on record gets a first round bye.

League was setup this way due to being an 8 person league.

Needed some advice for my dynasty team. This is my first in dynasty and for the league Im in. Wanted to know if I should go all in or tank for a top pick. I am currently 4-2 and am second and in my division due to a tiebreaker. My team has been hit by the injury big badly. Since week 3 I have lost Lamb, Pearsall, Bucky, Egbuka, and Garrett Wilson, while also having Rice on suspension. I've been able to navigate the losses of Lamb, Bucky Pearsall, and Rice but reality might be starting to hit. I am getting Rice back this week and hopefully Lamb but it's essentially swapping out them in for Wilson and Egbuka. Plus not having Bucky and Pearsall return.

I recently traded a late round draft pick for White after wk6 while Bucky is out so I am hoping that can get me through. My concern is that it is very possible Egbuka, Bucky, and Wilson won't play until wk10 since they all have a wk9 Bye. But then Rice and Lamb are on bye wk10. Neither of their teams are forced to rush them back since the Bucs have a great record and Jets aren't playing for anything.

I guess I'm just not sure how my team will hold up since I'm missing 3-4 weekly starters for the next 4 weeks plus other injuries that could pop up. Obviously if I am able to still win some weeks or go 2-2 for the next 4 weeks then I think I'm fine. Would you say that if I lose my next 4 games it is better to tank for better pick position? I'm told for Dynasty it is better go all in or completely tank. I feel my roster can win now if all are healthy it's just bad timing with injuries popping up next to bye weeks.

I disagree with this sentiment. I am against a tank for draft pick location. I have never seen it work out and teams that do that tend to always play for "next year" once they get into that mindset. This game has too much luck involved and bottoming out seems like a bad idea to me. I like the continuous improvement plan. I don't mind taking older players. I don't mind trading draft picks (I would rather get known commodities). I use those two things to my advantage to always stay in the mix. Figure out who overvalues picks and undervalues vets just because they are "old" and play to those to gain value advantages. I much prefer that approach to bottoming out for an early draft pick.
