Please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round. If you must assume a scoring system, go with 0.5 points per half-tackle, 3 points per sack / INT / FF / FR.I'm not going to link every poll - this forum is small enough that you can search for the previous results.1. Tatupu looks great as a rookie, but Urlacher is perhaps the most dominant, unheralded player in the NFL.

Urlacher is still young, puts up big stats, and has proved to be pretty durable through his career.London Fletcher is a guy to add on to the choices.

Despite their age (and theyre not too old comparatively) Donnie and Zach Thomas should be getting the majority of the votes here. Urlacher's name value heavily outweighs his fantasy output. Top 6 or 7- absolutely. But behind the vets.

I would expect Donnie Edwards to start slowing down soon - he is on the wrong side of 30. Zach Thomas can't be counted on to a play a full year and he isn't a spring chicken either.

Perhaps I'll buy it- Urlacher being the #4 dynasty LB. But seriously, is there any indication that Donnie and Zach Taylor are slowing down?

Yes, both are showing signs of slowing down. Thomas has been hurt and Edwards has been pretty weak in the second half of this season.

I respectfully disagree, but will concede my point on Donnie. He's been a habitually better 2nd half LB and clearly hasn't been this year. But Zach Thomas, what can you say about this guy. Even with the DNP's (3 last year, 2 this year) the dude's an absolute monster. I'll point to the 04 campaign with 145 tackles in 13 games(essentially 12 games becuase he got injured early vs. the niners) Even with his 2 DNP's this year and three last year, he's a top-5 LB both years and proved that he can tough it out- having one of his better games with one arm in a holster. Hope I'm not sounding like a broken record, but he is the #1 LB in some formats for a reason.

Isn't it similar to saying that you would draft Cadillac Williams over Tiki Barber in a dynasty right now?

Not really, because Tiki is not as dominant as Zach, nor has he done it as long. It's like taking LT over SA. Urlacher hasn't exactly been injury-free, either.
