Curtis Lofton - pass defense liability removes him from consideration imho, short term LB1 upside but don't trust it to maintain unless he improves vs. the pass
Brian Cushing -
Paul Posluszny - lower ceiling leaves him off my list for now, but...I'd rather have than Laurinaitis
Colin McCarthy - needs to do it on the field first, until then I can't rank him over other guys listed here
Sean Lee -
Jerod Mayo
Pat Angerer - hazy outlook with new regime and scheme and was too inconsistent last year, certain LB1 upside but carries a decent amount of risk
Sean Weatherspoon
I think it's gotta be Weatherspoon, Lee, or Cushing. Angerer, Lofton, and McCarthy all have ?'s. Puz just doesn't have the ceiling, although I'd have made the same argument against Laurinaitis that high, as does Mayo.
I'm real torn on Lee vs. Weatherspoon, I'll unconfidently go with Lee. There's no questioning Weatherspoon can still go up, but Lee's already there. Just needs to stay healthy.
