Think I'd have to take Jamarcus 4th even if I didn't have a QB need. Hope he plays well and then move him for better value if I didn't need him.

Gotta figure Irons will go higher than 15 in a lot of leagues. Yea, he's behind Rudi, but he was the third back off the board.

I like it, however IMO you are overrating all QBs' value in a start 1 QB league.

eta: I try to keep in mind in a start 1 QB league - if a rookie QB turns out well he can be in the top 1/3 of the league in his position. The bottom edge of the top 1/3 = worst starting QB in a FF league.

I wouldn't say I'm overrating QBs at all. Russell won't fall past 5 in most leagues, but I guess he could go 6-7-8 range, and I have Quinn 11 and Beck 20 (some would put Stanton here).

I think it's mainly from a lack of other options. Yikes, this rookie draft sucks.

I think Russell and Quinn will be going in the late first, early second rounds in competitive leagues. There are WRs underneath one or both QBs that will get a chance to start based solely on situation, not to speak of their abilities. :tinfoilhat:

I see the first round of that type of league going:

1) Peterson

2) Johnson

3) Lynch

4) Jackson

5) Bowe

6) Meachum

7) Ginn

8) Rice

9) Jarrett

10) Quinn

11) Russell

12) Steve Smith

but what do I know :baghead:

I have the 1.05 and will certainly try to move down. That said, if I can't, the pick will be either Russell or Quinn.

This draft doesn't have enough talent at RB to justify passing on "franchise quarterbacks". For example, I think the most attractive RBs outside of the top 2 are Michael Bush (plenty of talent if he can come back) and Chris Henry (clear line of site to lots of carries, although I see why some would like Jackson here). That said, running backs aren't on as long of a leash as QBs taken in the 1st. I can say with absolute CERTAINTY that Quinn and Russell will get at least two seasons of starting before their teams even think to start judging them. Most likely, they'll get 4 years to prove their worth. While you have to wait a couple years to get the best of them, it sure beats picking the "wrong" RB high in a dynasty draft. (JJ Arrington *cough*cough*)
