My re-draft league that has been running for the last 5+ years wants to start doing a Dynasty Auction/Contract League.

I know there are a lot of rules involved with this from doing a search.

Was wondering if anyone could help me out and give me a copy of there league rules.

Thanks

The dynasty league I'm in has pretty simple rules. We roster 20 players and you have the option to keep any and/or all of them as long as you wish. Rosters are enlarged after the season to allow for trades and the draft to 30 players but you must be down to 20 by the first regular season game. Standard scoring rules apply. Auction or Contract leagues I have no experience with though.

I have been commishing my dynasty league since 2004. Basically the same format as SteevieG but we roster 24 players in-season. Most FFL commissioner services support salary caps and contracts. Auction drafts are the ONLY way to go imo. We keep a salary cap of $300 and use a blind bidding process to acquire free agents. Every year player salaries are recalculated based on how they are ranked by our FFL service. The best part of dynasty leagues is that the league is active 365 days a year with trades and free agent pick ups. We charge $5 per transaction, so there is always a nice chunk of change to go along with the franchise fee for payouts. If you get into contracts it becomes a little more complicated to commish. My league assigns 3 year contracts for rookies. After 3 years you must move the rookie up or drop him. Pretty simple.

Our league evolved from redraft to large contract-keeper (effectively dynasty) by slowly increasing the contract cap year over year. In the first year contract caps were so small most teams only kept 2 or 3 guys. Heading into our 7th season most teams are now carrying 25-30 players over.

Our rules are here.
