Dynasty: Playoff Defense Trade (1 Viewer)

Dynasty - 14 team league....

I have started Tampa last two weeks and have Bears and Jets D - nothing else on waivers ... I am a championship contender ..

Would anyone give up a future 3rd round rookie pick (almost worthless in our league) for either MN or KC ... if so which one?

KC - vs LAC, @ Cle, vs Hou, @ Pit

MN - vs ATL, vs CHI, @ Sea, vs GB

I am leaning MN .. thoughts?

I'm not super familiar with dynasty, but if the pick is worthless than it may be worthwhile to go for MINN. Chiefs always seem good on paper, but even against "sure-fire" matchups they have performed poorly. In my league they have had 2 games over greater than 10 points (W2 vs CIN, W8 vs LV). Vikings have faltered a bit recently but have shown that even against bad matchups they can maintain a solid floor.

But if you know the R3 picks are almost worthless, I'm unsure if anyone is gonna give you a strong playoff schedule defense for one since I assume they also know the pick is almost worthless.

This depends on whether or not the scoring for defenses makes it worthwhile. In one league a good defense scores 5 pts while a mediocre scores 2. Not really a big difference. In that case probably not worth even the useless 3rd round pick. If they score a bunch then sure go ahead and do it, but again it depends on the scoring as to whether Min or KC would be preferred. Can they go negative with giving up a bunch of points or yards? Are turnovers/sacks king?

1-9 = 8 pts
10-13 = 5 pts
