How were MSW, Ward, Harrison, etc. free agents? Small rosters?

How were MSW, Ward, Harrison, etc. free agents? Small rosters?

We use Contract-Years to keep some player churn.Each team has 50 contract-years total for 24 man rosters, so some teams made hard decisions. The team that cut MSW was a big surprise, but he was freaking stacked. He loaded up on rookies, so was probably clearing cap space, anticipating adding them. The same happened with the team that cut Ward/Driver.Harrison (along with Kolb) was not picked up at the end of last year when his value became apparent, b/c most teams were maxed out on Contract-Years (myself included). Even if you cut players mid-season, you are still responsible for a contract for them for the duration of the year, so hard to clear space in-season.
