 certainly a 2 dog race here.

I'll take Schaub with AJ and Walter over Palmer with an injury and ocho minus TJ.

Don't trust Schaub. Don't trust Palmer's elbow.

This is Donovan McNabb territory. He's a top-10 guy right now, who could have another top-5 season in him. Jackson and Celek are only getting better.

:goodposting: McNabb for me

If I was taking the 10th QB in the dynasty draft, I would likely be taking a second one in the next couple of rounds, landing the 10 and the 12 or 13. That is how I draft QB's, either a top 3 guy or a couple mid-tier guys.

I would take a chance on Palmer here as he has the higher ceiling. With-in the next couple of rounds I would come back with a safer guy like McNabb or Falco.

What about Schaub's propensity to be dinged up all the time? He's been a starter for two seasons and missed 10 full games out of 32. Not to mention a few games he didn't finish.Palmer has been there and done that. He was ranked as a Top 5 dynasty QB before this year. It was a fluke injury that he doesn't need surgery for. I think everyone has a little too much "what have you done for me lately" attitude right now. Palmer has a #1 QB overall season under his belt and multiple Top 10s. He has a higher ceiling than anyone left and I'd have easily taken him over Roethlisberger.

I am more concerned with what a player is going to do than what he has done. The Bengals offense as a whole is nowhere near what it was in Palmers top 10 days. Houston is a top 5 offense going into next year, and there is no reason for Schaub not to put up top 5 QB numbers. Other than injury of course, but i think Palmer is as likely to get injured as Schaub, so i dont really weigh that into my opinion. Also, project out both players numbers from last year over a whole season, it isnt even close.

I'm not sure why you think the offense won't be anywhere near what it was in his Top 10 "days" (like it was sooooo long ago). Coles replaced Housh. Not a huge dropoff IMO. Benson replaces Rudi. Neither RB is exactly special or a big difference maker. In fact, if you want to give Rudi the edge there, I'd say that actually improves Palmer's numbers bc he'll be throwing more. The only impacting difference I see is the play of the offensive line. Just need to keep Palmer off his back (big if).Well, of course....if you project their numbers out it's "not close". Palmer played in 4 games and played injured in 2 or 3 of those. That argument holds no weight.
