These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on so lets keep that going as we vote.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And honestly probobly should be a topic of discussion in itself but thats another thread. For now just somthing to take into consideration.

1. Peyton Manning 3/24/1976

2. Carson Palmer 12/27/1979

3. Tom Brady 8/3/1977

4. Drew Brees 1/15/1979

5. Donovan McNabb 1/25/1976

6. Matt Hasselbeck 9/25/1975

7. Philip Rivers 12/8/1981

8. Mike Vick 6/26/1980

9. Eli Manning 1/3/1981

10. Vince Young 5/18/1983

11. Matt Leinart 5/11/1983

12. Tony Romo 4/21/1980

13. Marc Bulger 4/5/1977

Young, Vince TEN QB Will Rock next!!!!
Probably, that's why he went #10. :pickle: For this pick I voted Alex Smith. His division has weak defenses and the offensive weapons around him are only getting better. The one thing that keeps me from being higher on him is the likelyhood that the RB's will get a fair share of rushing TD's as long as Norv Turner is the offensive coordinator.

I voted Alex Smith too. He has some nice weapons, and his young team is building together (V Davis, F Gore), plus a nice (but not outstanding) WR corps. I think he'll be a nice QB for a good long time.

I'm down on Big Ben right now. He'll need the offseason and maybe next year to clear his head and get right, and Pittsburgh has some injuries and question marks at WR.

I went with Big Ben. If he can keep his head on straight, he has all the tools to post nice numbers. Regressed this year, but with his brains scrambled a bit, I can understand why. I look for Ben to post sold if unspectacular numbers over the next few years.

I like Leftwich here.
Why? He's my backup in Z39, and I have no idea when or where he'll start again.
I see him as still a legit starting QB. He will be starting somewhere in 2007. I like him better than Ben, Smith, Losman, etc on talent and I do not think we can actually say they are in great situations like Leinart, etc. Letwich has proven (when healthy ...) to be productive. I would take a vet at this point over the more unproven Cutler, Campbell, etc. As far as a fantasy QB, I think he is a top 15 QB. Health is the main worry for me over situation. His situation should be no worse than that of the vet Qbs in this poll nad I like his talent better. Plus, we forget he is still young.

I think Leftwich will be starting somewhere next year too, I know I'm hoping Detroit (so they can draft Joe Thomas). If that happened, his value skyrockets. Plummer will also be looking for work, these are two worth keeping an eye on.

Ben appears to be winning this one. But I will leave the polls open for awhile longer and hopefully more votes will lead to a more decisive conclushion.

A lot of votes for Cutler after his 1st good showing last week. Intersting.

Thanks for mentioning other players not listed that you would vote for as they certainly will be added in the next poll.

I'm going Cutler over Roth here because I think he has a higher fantasy upside. Both are in run oriented systems, but Shanahan will play pass more often.

Amazed at the surge of support for Cutler after one good game. Makes me wonder about the timing of these polls and how great a effect that has on peoples persepctive.

To me in Dynasty one game is a drop in the bucket and my opinion would not be so easily swayed. Makes me wonder if a lot of people would vote for some other young Qb coming from relative obscurity if they have a big game this weekend when they would not have voted for them not having seen that before.

Interesting none the less.

This is interesting to me, too. This list, and the others mentioned, are some young and productive QBs that are established.

At the time I made post #12 I don't think Cutler had double digits in votes. The support for him seems to have been rather spontanious when taking that into consideration. That is what makes me wonder. He did get 12 out of 78 votes in poll #13 however (15.38%) so perhaps the support for him is not as spontanious as it seemed.
