These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on so lets keep that going as we vote. Discussion about why you prefer one of these players compared to the others is useful to everyone involved and offers insight into how people in your leagues may view these players compared to others.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And now has become a topic of discussion in this thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=296123 I welcome you all to read this and offer your perspectives on methods you use in determining where to rank players in dynasty leagues.

1. Peyton Manning 3/24/1976

2. Carson Palmer 12/27/1979

3. Tom Brady 8/3/1977

4. Drew Brees 1/15/1979

5. Donovan McNabb 1/25/1976

6. Matt Hasselbeck 9/25/1975

7. Philip Rivers 12/8/1981

8. Mike Vick 6/26/1980

9. Eli Manning 1/3/1981

10. Vince Young 5/18/1983

11. Matt Leinart 5/11/1983

12. Tony Romo 4/21/1980

13. Marc Bulger 4/5/1977

14. Jay Cutler 4/29/1983

15. Ben Roethlisberger 3/2/1982

16. Alex Smith 5/7/1984

The pickings are getting mighty slim. As attracted to youth as I am in dynasty leagues, I have to believe I might draft Trent Green or Steve McNair instead of any of these guys. Figure I can get at least two years out of either one and a lot can happen in two years. I just don't see the next Steve Young or Peyton Manning on this list. Voted "Other".

If my starter is anyone from #6 to #12, I'd take McNair here (or Jay or Ben).

Otherwise, I'm going with Losman.

At 17 you are looking at a middle of the pack backup. I'll gladly roll the dice here on Culpepper for a qb with such great upside and NOT rely on starting him right now.

Trent Green and Steve McNair will be added to the next poll. Need more votes to complete this one.
Maybe Kitna also (or whomever takes his place), over 4k yds this year on a terrible team he seems to have the starting job locked up for next year.Maybe time for Quinn, Smith, or J Russell / Brohm (if they come out)

Everything I have heard is that Kitna is the man. Remains to be seen if Martz stays or not. Thanks for the recomendations will look to add those as soon as space becomes available.

I'm a bit shocked Losman is ahead of Campbell right now. Campbell averaged 15.7 fp/gm this year (Losman 14.7). Campbell was a second-year player in his first year of a new, complex offense. (As long as Saunders sticks around, this will be the first time since HS he goes into a season using the same offense as the previous year.) His only playing time came without Clinton Portis and his WR2 changed after a couple weeks because Brandon Lloyd is a headcase. He threw 10 TDs and only 6 INTs in his first seven career games. Also, he did all that in a conservative offensive gameplan. Gibbs and Saunders reportedly only used about 20% of the playbook and averaged about 35 rushes per game the last six games.

I don't see how he's going to get worse. (Of course, I'm a Skins fan and I'm optomistic every offseason.)

Losman and Campbell leading this one.

Going with the potential of JaMarcus Russell would be a good option here if you think he will end up becoming a Qb 1 eventualy and you do not think any other Qb here could.

I like Culpepper's upside here. You can roll the dice with QB 17. I also agree that Bulger is too low.
