These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on so lets keep that going as we vote. Discussion about why you prefer one of these players compared to the others is useful to everyone involved and offers insight into how people in your leagues may view these players compared to others.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And now has become a topic of discussion in this thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=296123 I welcome you all to read this and offer your perspectives on methods you use in determining where to rank players in dynasty leagues.

1. Peyton Manning 3/24/1976

2. Carson Palmer 12/27/1979

3. Tom Brady 8/3/1977

4. Drew Brees 1/15/1979

5. Donovan McNabb 1/25/1976

6. Matt Hasselbeck 9/25/1975

7. Philip Rivers 12/8/1981

8. Mike Vick 6/26/1980

9. Eli Manning 1/3/1981

10. Vince Young 5/18/1983

11. Matt Leinart 5/11/1983

12. Tony Romo 4/21/1980

13. Marc Bulger 4/5/1977

14. Jay Cutler 4/29/1983

15. Ben Roethlisberger 3/2/1982

Once these are done then I am going to do a thread that compares last seasons polls conducted by -OZ- with these and see how drasticly things have changed.

I bumped those threads yesterday and took a quick peek at them. The changes are huge.

Hopefully these polls will be run again during the offseason and comparisons can be made again.

It has been pointed out to me that running the polls faster than I have might be a better way of doing it because of how situations on players can change. I have been running longer polls to get larger sample sizes in hopes of greater accuracy instead. I am not sure if by doing it this way I have accomplished that goal or not. But that was my theory.

The thinking behind the timing of these polls being still end of season was in hopes to get results that reflected a more win now type of thinking than ushual. With people still having who they trusted as players they would start fresh in thier minds. I do not know if that was successful either however as many people still seemed to vote with potential over production in mind in many cases anyways.

Oh Man Sorry the other was me..i looked over the list several times and voted other i didn't see VY.(Yeah that settles it i need to go to sleep) Till after i voted anyway.Shoulda known he wouldn't have dropped that far.

Pennington if it even matters.

When was the vote on Romo?Should he, well, you know, drop?
'Romo should drop'..... nice.
Nice one.Maybe Romo should drop ......one spot. QB's below him Jay Cutler over Romo? Could be but the WR's and total team is better in Dallas than in DenBen Roethlisberger over Romo? Only if Martz is the new head coach.Alex Smith over Romo? Best out of the group but still SF has hope and in hope also lies a gamble. JP Losman over Romo? Maybe 2k7 is the year the Bills turn it around but most likely it stays the same.

Personaly I think Bulger should be higher than he is but he fell quite a bit.

People are enamoured with the young guns.

The Denver WRs at least should be around for awhile. Will TO? Glenn isn't exactly young. With a long term view, I'd say the Denver WRs are better than those in Dallas.I wouldn't trade Ben for Romo. Agreed on the others.

Why is Rex getting no love?

So what he has had a bad stretch.

He is the QB for the Bears for the future.

Leftwich doesn't even have a team.

He is also among the leaders in TD passes and games with +100 qb rating

He is also the leader in games with sub 5 ratings, along with games with 6 turnovers by a single player.

1. Because he's a terrible QB2. Because he's one more embarrassing breakdown away from costing his team a shot at the title...and losing his job in the process 3. He's inaccurate, inconsistent, injury-prone, careless with the football, and slow to make adjustments4. Career completion percentage: 54.4%, career TD/INT ratio: 27/265. Which starting QBs have had a less impressive start to their career than Rex Grossman?
