These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on so lets keep that going as we vote. Discussion about why you prefer one of these players compared to the others is useful to everyone involved and offers insight into how people in your leagues may view these players compared to others.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And now has become a topic of discussion in this thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=296123 I welcome you all to read this and offer your perspectives on methods you use in determining where to rank players in dynasty leagues.

1. Peyton Manning 3/24/1976

2. Carson Palmer 12/27/1979

3. Tom Brady 8/3/1977

4. Drew Brees 1/15/1979

5. Donovan McNabb 1/25/1976

6. Matt Hasselbeck 9/25/1975

7. Philip Rivers 12/8/1981

8. Mike Vick 6/26/1980

9. Eli Manning 1/3/1981

10. Vince Young 5/18/1983

11. Matt Leinart 5/11/1983

12. Tony Romo 4/21/1980

13. Marc Bulger 4/5/1977

14. Jay Cutler 4/29/1983

15. Ben Roethlisberger 3/2/1982

16. Alex Smith 5/7/1984

17. JP Losman 3/12/1981

Guess who I voted, Bia? I will take leftwich again.
Why do you like him so much? He seems injury prone and thoroughly average to me. He has never started 16 games in season. He has thrown 3 TDs only twice in his career. He has not had a 300 yard passing since week 7 of 2004 and he has only done that four times. He doesn’t do anything for you on the ground. He is also competing with two other QBs. What is it that you see in him that I don’t?

He is a legit QB1. In my league that uses wcoff scoring, Leftwich was QB7 going into week 7 (the game he denied being injured but it was noticeable and was placed on IR soon thereafter). I think I will take a chance on a QB that could be an every week starter, and a decent one at that, as long as he can stay healthy. As QB20, for this poll, a decent starter, when healthy, is a steal, imo.

Steve McNair? Looks like this vote is tied so far between Leftwich and the new Leftwich rookie JaMarcus Russell. Russell has not had the positive press going for him that Leftiwch had before entering the league.A lot of people have been touting Russell's arm as being tremendously powerful. But I have not seen evidence that his arm strength is greater than many of the Qbs in the league honestly. Last week I saw Brady throw a laser 50 yards on target (forget if it was caught). That speculation FWIW as arm strength is not everything. Not saying Russell isn't a great prospect. I just have not seen what makes him so good besides the obvious measurables that he has going for him. I'm open to people "learning" me up on that though if they are so inclined.

I missed many of these earlier threads, but Hass's higher rank :pickle: me.
Big Ben is the only one behind him that I would put ahead of him!
YOu would take Hass in Dynasty ahead of Young, Eli, Cutler, Leinart, Bulger, and Rivers? INteresting. I believe if I had Hass and someone offered me any of the above in a Dynasty league, I'd sprain my finger clicking the "accept" button.
I'm just a big Hass fan...not saying I'm the sharpest tool in the shed. I think he is consistent and what I look for in a fantasy QB.
