Now, who are the best of the rest? Rank the next 10, and any "honorable mention" QBs you have, those that don't quite make the top 50, but could be huge if they got the right break.

Like, Drew Henson for instance. If he got it together, IMO he could be a top 20 QB. (OTOH, I may rank him among the top 50, I haven't done my list yet).

My problem at this point in the rankings is that I don't see anybody left who looks like they'll ever be some team's first choice for a whole season. The young guys left are longshots (Fitzpatrick, McPherson, Wallace, Lefors, Orlovsky) or mostly-unknowns (Cassel, LMcCown, O'Sullivan, Lemon), and the old guys are pretty much at the end of the road (Favre, BJohnson) or just aren't good enough to keep their jobs long if they even have one by the beginning of next year (Brunell, Frerotte). That just leaves Bledsoe, Collins, and Griese as guys I think could be starters for two seasons somewhere.I know some people are high on the prospects of McPherson or Ftizpatrick or Orlovsky, but I'm not one of them - I think they're longshots to start and longer shots to stick if they do start.Kitna's a wildcard - it's hard to figure out what to think about him. He could get a shot somewhere, but I don't think it'll be as a long-term answer. Same goes for Rattay, who seems to have followed the Doug Johnson career path - highly regarded backup gets a shot, is pretty weak, then bounces around a bit as a backup, then falls out of the league. Then again, I thought Frerotte was headed down that path and he's had a late-career resurgence, so who knows...

Collins, Kerry QB, Oakland Raiders Bledsoe, Drew QB, Dallas Cowboys Brunell, Mark QB, Washington Redskins Orton, Kyle QB, Chicago Bears Griese, Brian QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cassel, Matt QB, New England Patriots Henson, Drew QB, Dallas Cowboys Fitzpatrick, Ryan QB, St. Louis Rams Kitna, Jon QB, Cincinnati Bengals Orlovsky, Dan QB, Detroit Lions

Adrian McPherson

Kyle Orton

Mark Brunell

Drew Bledsoe

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Jon Kitna

Matt Cassel

Brian Griese

Darrell Hackney*

I know my personal list has changed a little since we did this.

I'll wait until the draft to redo, and I think we'll move along faster, probably go with a top 5, next 5, etc. Instead of 1 per poll.

Leftwich, Culpepper, Plummer, Delhomme and Frye are the only ones who dropped out fo the top half, so not a bad list all in all.

I had a list of top fifty Dynasty QBs that I last updated on August 16. I decided to not update the list after that date because our fantasy season was starting and I didn't want to tip my hand during the season and we just started our fantasy playoffs and my team is in so I won't be updating till after the season but this is what I had in mid August.http://mb26.scout.com/fbrownsinsiderfrm14....icID=1471.topic

August 16th

1 - Peyton Manning

(Peyton is in a class unto himself)

2 - Carson Palmer

(needs to prove he’s back healthy)

*3 - Tom Brady

(Brady/McNabb switch spots)

*4 - Donovan McNabb

5 - Eli Manning

6 - Marc Bulger

7 - Daunte Culpepper

(I can't buy Daunte being able to come back full strength this year but his progress has been impressive)

8 - Matt Hasselbeck

9 - Jake Delhomme

10 - Bryon Leftwich

11 - Jake Plummer

12 - Ben Roethlisberger

*13 – Phil Rivers

(After sitting for three years, no one knew what to expect, he shows up and looks solid. Young, talented, entrenched as starter with full backing of coaches/team/org, signed to a long term contract. Supporting cast could use upgrading but Phil looks fine)

*14 - Michael Vick

(Mike is an OK FF QB, not great but OK, gets slightly moved down due to influx of yute)

15 - Drew Brees

16 - Chris Simms

(Bucs luv what he’s shown so far and rumors are that they will get him re-signed to a long term contract before the season is finished)

17 - Trent Green

(36 years old says it all. Trent has two good years tops left in the tank)

18 - Drew Bledsoe

*19 - Vince Young

(Signed, mixed reviews in camp but the unquestioned leadership and big-play ability is there. It’ll take a few years to massage him into a drop back passer but he’ll make plays and when/if it all comes together then Vince will be in the top ten but gets this ranking on potential and its well deserved)

20 - Kurt Warner

21 - Matt Lienart

*22 - Jay Cutler

(Rookie has looked IMPRESSIVE early on)

*23 - Brian Griese

(looking superior to Grossman already, very talented QB, still young)

*24 - Aaron Brooks

(Brooks has looked atrocious so far, only two completions in two preseason games, ugh)

25 - Matt Schaub

*25 - John Kitna

(Moved right in as starter in Martz’s system forcing Joey out the door and he looks good, could blow up)

*26 - David Carr

(Hearing Kubiak is seeing rookie mistakes from his vet QB that should have been corrected years ago.)

27 - Steve McNair

28 - Bret Favre

29 - Brad Johnson

*30 – Billy Volek

(Talk of VY possibly taking snaps each game to wean him in slowly, Volek on borrowed time)

31 - Chad Pennington

32 - Mark Brunell

33 - Alex Smith

*34 - Charlie Frye

(Charlie is simply not looking very good)

*35 – Rex Grossman

(Rex has actually looked alright but he’s a gimp puppy with Griese breathing down his neck)

36 - Aaron Rodgers

*37 – Tony Romo Cowboys

(Rise up from UNRANKED! This might be premature but I’m hearing a significant buzz about Romo contending to start in Bid D)

38 - J.P. Losman

39 - David Garrard

40 - Kelly Holcomb

41 - Jason Cambell

*42 - Kerry Collins

(still ‘could’ potentially land someplace and prolly by end of season he will)

*43 – Kyle Boller

(McNair signing could spell end of Kyle)

*44 - Andrew Walters

(Rise up from UNRANKED. Not that Walters has been great but he’s outplaying Brooks so he might get his chance sooner than expected)

45 -Trent Dilfer

46 - Patrick Ramsey

47 - Omar Jacobs

49 - Kyle Orton

50 - Adrian McPherson

(New spokesman for Racoon driven go-carts R-US! )

---------------------

Worth a mention - Tavarious Jackson Vikings

Dropped off list

Joey Harrington

Josh McCown
Obviously this was prior to Romo rising out of no-where and before Chris Simms got injured but other than that I don't think I did too bad.EDIT: LOL, I didn't even see that I had Romo listed #37 so looking back I did better than I originally had thought.

It would probobly be a good time to revisit this for all positions and try to get a new board consensus of rankings for offseason activity.

I could start them off unless anyone else wants to do the honors?
